Responsible for weekly ordering of fresh and non-perishable food from multiple sources; maintains inventory and overall cleanliness of mobile food truck. Performs client intake, determines client eligibility, and provides appropriate information and referrals. The Mobile Food Program Supervisor provides leadership for the volunteer staff and sets the tone for culturally competent, client-focused customer service for all mobile market participants. Regularly drive the Mobile Market truck from warehouse to various locations around East King County for distribution of food.\nWhat qualities we are looking for:We’d love to hear from you. We offer paid training!\nDesire/ability to work with low-income families and/or volunteers.\nComputer/technology proficiency: ability to use MS Office 365, MS Outlook, and online systems including timekeeping, and program specific systems, etc.Proficiency in Word and Excel. \nAble to lift 40 pounds. \nMinimum of 2 years’ experience driving a 26’ box truck or similar vehicle. No special license is required; driver safety training provided. \nMust be able to show proof of clean driving record; at least 5 years of general driving experience required. Valid driver license.\nAbility to operate a forklift and electric pallet jack - training provided.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nMulti-lingual candidates are encouraged to apply. Spanish or Russian speaking skills helpful but not required.\nExamples of what you will be doing:\nResponsible for the operation of the mobile food market including driving, set-up, loading, and unloading (where applicable). The mobile market Supervisor is also responsible for reporting vehicle maintenance issues, cleanliness of the vehicle and daily operation of the vehicle. Mobile Market distribution hours may include evenings and occasional weekend events.\nOperation of electric pallet-jack, forklift, hand truck is essential to the functions of this job.\nActs as program community liaison in establishing mobile program locations for food distribution and occasionally represents Hopelink at various donor and client facing events.\nMaintain food inventory, knowledgeable about current food supply and rotation of stock.\nTrain, organize, assign, and supervise volunteers.
