HORIBA Automotive is searching for a Mechanical Assembler to work out of our Ann Arbor, MI office. This person will assemble and/or fits together parts to form complete units or subassemblies at a bench or on the floor.
KEY RESPONSIBLIES
- Works from detailed assembly drawings and specifications; plans layouts using flowcharts; identifies and obtains necessary parts and components from stockroom.
- Installs mechanical components; forms and connects stainless steel tubing using hand and bench power tools, torsion wrenches, forming jigs and assembly fixtures.
- Performs leak checks and other necessary tests.
SKILL REQUIRED:
- Incumbent typically has a high school diploma, certification from a technical school or equivalent experience.
- Requires general assembly experience and knowledge of assembly techniques and procedures, including tube bending and leak testing;
- knowledge of mechanical drawing, shop practices and shop mathematics beneficial.
- Must be able to read and understand assembly drawings and specifications.
