What You’ll Do
Horizon3AI is committed to defending businesses from the ever-growing threat landscape. Our advanced solutions and expert team provide unparalleled security for our clients. We are looking for a passionate Sales Engineer (SE) based in the Washington, DC Region to join our Federal Team and help prospects and clients understand the true value and capabilities of our product(s) and services.
Technical expertise - Must demonstrate deep knowledge of our cybersecurity products and services, assisting the sales team in presenting and position them to prospects and clients.
Customer engagement - Must meet with potential customers to understand their cybersecurity needs, challenges, and infrastructure, ensuring that our solutions are the perfect fit for them.
Product demonstrations - Provide live demos and proof of concepts for our cybersecurity solutions, tailoring each demo to the specific needs and concerns of the potential customer.
Solution development - Will work closely with the sales and product teams to design and refine our solutions based on customer needs.
Technical training - train the sales team on the technical aspects of our products to enhance their ability to sell more effectively.
Feedback loop - relay feedback from the field to our product and engineering teams, contributing to the ongoing improvement of our product.
RFP/RFI assistance - Assist in answering technical sections of RFPs and RFIs.
Post-sales support - On rare occasions, assist in post-sales processes to ensure the smooth implementation and satisfaction of our customers.
What You’ll Bring
5+ years of experience as a Pre-Sales Engineer/Solutions Architect, ideally in the cybersecurity domain.
Experience with DoW Offensive Cyber Operations
US Federal Clearance (*Must be able to obtain the required Security Clearance and potential granting access to classified information systems)
Familiarity with managed services delivery models, SOC workflows, SIEM, SOAR, EDR, PTaaS and MDR.
Proficiency with cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), identity systems (AD/AAD), and networking fundamentals.
Strong understanding of cyber threats, risk management, and cybersecurity solutions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrates ability to simplify complex technical topics for a non-technical audience.
Highly collaborative with a strong sense of initiative.
Certifications such as OSCP, OSCE, CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or cloud security certifications are desirable.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
Federal Travel Required
The desired location is Washington DC, but we are a fully remote company, and this job may require up to 50% of travel to be successful in the region.
Travel will include CONOS & OCONOS as required.
Job-related travel expenses are reviewed and must be approved by your manager.

Our compensation structure is designed to be fair, competitive, and transparent, ensuring that every team member is recognized and compensated equitably across roles, levels, and locations.
In accordance with various State’s transparency regulations, we provide the following salary range information for this position:
$230k - $270k on a 70/30 split annually. The exact salary will be determined based on the selected candidate’s location, qualifications, experience, and relevant skills.
Additional compensation: All full-time roles are eligible for an equity package in the form of stock options.
