The successful candidate will personally contribute to the unforgettable guest experience by way of exceptional care for food & beverage, being respectful of decisions made by direct supervisors, be favorably viewed by their peers and be swift and efficient in the execution of their assigned duties.\n\n*Please note this is a seasonal/contract position*\n\nCrew Benefits:\nCompetitive Wage\nRetention Bonus - up to $500.00!\nComplimentary Cruise Tickets & Uniforms\nCrew Recognition Awards\nCrew Referral Program - up to $200.00 per referral\nCrew Events\nPaid Training\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nProvide amazing hospitality to guests and coworkers as prescribed in our RESPECT Service System.\nReports to work on time and for all scheduled shifts, clocking in and out appropriately, in conjunction with managing personal break time appropriately \nUnderstands and follows all policies and procedures relating to the crew’s role within the company.\nMaintains uniform in conjunction with a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance in compliance with appearance standards.\nResponsible for brewing coffee, scooping ice cream, and selling a selection of bakery items.\nDeveloping and maintaining knowledge of coffee and ice cream flavours to educate guests and colleagues about the selection.\nAccurately take orders and is diligent with punching correct item for sale into Point-of-Sale system, followed by serving correct item.\nKnowledge of basic math; capable of managing notes and cash handling.\nSpeaking and interacting with both new and regular customers, contributing to a positive work environment.\nMaintaining a clean and sanitized working environment, that which follows all health and safety guidelines, including all daily & weekly checklists.\nRegularly performing stock checks and submitting inventory count twice a week to ensure Kitchen Supervisor has proper inventory levels for reordering.\nOther duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor on duty.\nRequirements & Qualifications:\nO.S.S.D. or equivalent as recognized by the Ministry of Education.\nOne (1) year customer service experience is preferred.\nSafe Food Handling Certificate is preferred.\nEnergetic, enthusiastic, service oriented and self-directed personality essential.\nBasic math and computer skills required.\nWill be closely supervised; accepts all training and guidance on a continuous basis. Passes along best practices and techniques to fellow crew members. \nStrong verbal, written and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of another language in addition to English is an asset.\nMust be able to effectively understand and convey written and verbal information to guests and coworkers. \nMust possess a service orientation – actively looking for ways to help others.\nThe nature of the work may be strenuous. Will work for extended periods of time in any weather condition without sitting.\nRequired to lift furniture and other heavy items such as tables and chairs, up and down stairs. \nAbility to work flexible hours and shifts which may include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.\nWill be required to be available for work on all weekends during July & August including major holidays. \nAbility to reach, bend, stoop, wipe, push, pull, move or lift up to 35 pounds (16 kilograms).\nNon-slip footwear is required to ensure safety in the workplace.
