In addition, this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The hiring range listed is a good faith determination of potential compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.What you will be doing\nSHIFT\n9 AM - 5 PM\nOutpatient Operations\nRepresent ambulatory operationsin multi-disciplinary working groups, contributing to strategic planning initiatives such as clinic expansion, facility renovations, and construction-related adjustments.\nIdentify opportunities for improvement using operational reports, patient satisfaction surveys, physician experience surveys, and employee engagement data, initiating workplans to address gaps.\n\nBusiness Operations\nOversee timekeeping and attendance tracking for clinical staff using Kronos, generating reports on lateness, attendance trends, and punch audits to support workforce management.\nProcess purchase orders (POs) and invoices for medical and office supplies, ensuring timely procurement and accurate financial tracking.\nPerform routine and ad hoc staffing analyses, supporting leadership in justifying new positions; prepare and submit documentation for new position justifications, position requisitions, and personnel change forms (PCFs) in alignment with workforce planning needs.\nTrack and ensure departmental compliance with mandatory performance appraisals, annual competencies, and training requirements.\nAssist in the development, review, and monitoring of the annual enterprise operational and capital budget, working with leadership and finance teams to align financial planning with departmental goals.\nSupport leadership in business planning for new programs and service moves for operational readiness\n\nProject Management & Process Improvement\nResponsible for managing projects and initiatives from planning through completion, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and objectives are met\nTrack progress, coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, identify barriers, and proactively address issues to maintain momentum and ensure successful execution.\nSupport leadership in the execution of improvement initiatives, leveraging data and workflow analysis to enhance clinical efficiency, patient care delivery, and operational effectiveness.\nWork cross-functionally with administrators, clinicians, and IT teams to implement process improvements and support system upgrades, including EPIC optimizations and reporting enhancements.\nUtilize Microsoft Excel, EPIC reports, and Tableau to analyze data and generate operational insights, supporting decision-making and performance evaluation.\nParticipate in change management efforts, ensuring smooth transitions for policy updates, technology implementations, and workflow modifications within outpatient nursing.\nCapture and translate meeting discussions into clear action items, ensuring follow-up with stakeholders and adherence to project deadlines.\nAssist with Data validation and running reports\n\nQualifications & Skills:\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree required (Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field preferred). Master’s preferred.\nExperience: Minimum five (5) years of experience in healthcare operations, consulting, physician practice management, and/or healthcare IT.\nTechnology & Systems Knowledge:Epic experience required; certification preferred.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Tableau, and EPIC reporting tools for data analysis and process optimization.\n\nProject Management: Experience in leading or supporting process improvement initiatives\nCommunication & Collaboration:Outstanding oral, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.\nStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively within high-functioning, cross-disciplinary teams in a matrixed environment.\nProven ability to synthesize various information sources and present findings in a clear, organized manner\n\nOrganizational & Analytical Skills:Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.\nStrong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to operational challenges.\n\nResults-oriented, strategic thinker with a passion for problem solving\nNon-Discrimination Policy\nHospital for Special Surgery is committed to providing high quality care and skilled, compassionate, reliable service to our community in a safe and healing environment.
