You will work closely with product managers, frontend engineers, QA, and other technical stakeholders to deliver reliable backend solutions from development and testing through production deployment.\n\nResponsibilities: \nDesign, develop, and maintain backend services and applications using Java and Spring Boot.\nBuild, integrate, document, and optimize RESTful APIs and backend integrations.\nDesign and implement scalable services using microservices architecture where appropriate.\nDevelop efficient data-access layers and write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries.\nWork with SQL and NoSQL databases, including data modeling, indexing, and query performance.\nWrite clean, maintainable, reusable, secure, and testable production code.\nApply appropriate error handling, logging, validation, and security practices.\nIdentify and resolve performance bottlenecks, defects, and production issues.\nWrite unit and integration tests and participate in code reviews.\nUse Git and follow branching, version-control, and collaborative development practices.\nWork with CI/CD pipelines, application deployments, and production environments.\nCollaborate with frontend engineers, QA, product teams, and other stakeholders to deliver features.\nParticipate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.\nTake ownership of backend features throughout the development lifecycle, from design to deployment.\n\nThe core requirements for the job include the following:\n\nCore Java and Backend Development: \n5 years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on backend development.\nStrong hands-on experience with Java and object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.\nStrong experience with Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem.\nExperience building and consuming RESTful APIs.\nGood understanding of microservices architecture and service-to-service communication.\nStrong understanding of data structures, algorithms, exception handling, and core software engineering principles.\n\nDatabases: \nGood understanding of relational databases and SQL.\nExperience writing efficient queries and working with database schemas, indexes, and query optimization.\nFamiliarity with NoSQL databases is beneficial.\n\nTesting and Code Quality: \nExperience writing unit and integration tests.\nAbility to write clean, maintainable, and testable code.\nExperience with debugging, troubleshooting, peer code reviews, and engineering best practices.\n\nCloud, DevOps, and Tools: \nExperience with Git and modern source-control workflows.\nUnderstanding of CI/CD pipelines and build/deployment processes.\nFamiliarity with AWS or a comparable cloud platform.\nExperience supporting applications in staging and production environments.\n\nCollaboration and Work Style: \nStrong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.\nGood communication and collaboration skills.\nAbility to work effectively with frontend engineers, QA, product teams, and other stakeholders.\nComfortable working in an Agile/Scrum environment and taking ownership of deliverables.\n\nGood to Have: \nExperience with AI-powered services, search technologies, or data pipelines.\nFamiliarity with containerization and orchestration tools.\nExperience with monitoring, observability, and application performance tuning.\n\nKey Technology Stack: \nBackend: Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices;
