Better performing Ad ecosystem that can optimize on not just simple advertising metrics like clicks but complex advertiser metrics like user conversions and user LTV.\nAbout the team:\nJioHotstar is building the advertising platform that will power commerce-led advertising across some of India’s largest digital consumer businesses.\nThis team sits at the intersection of AdTech, e-commerce, data, and monetisation. The goal is to help retail platforms unlock high-intent advertising inventory across the full shopping journey - home pages, category pages, product detail pages, cart, order confirmation flows, and personalised placements - while giving advertisers measurable outcomes.\nKey responsibilities:\nAnalyze large datasets from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that help define and execute data-driven strategies for the Ads platform\nDesign, develop, and deploy statistical models, machine learning algorithms, generative AI models, and predictive analytics to optimize ad targeting, improve campaign performance, and maximize revenue\nIntegrate machine learning models into production systems to deliver real-time insights and automated decision-making capabilities\nCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Data Engineering, Product Management, Ad Tech, and Business teams, to understand business challenges and deploy end-to-end solutions\nContinuously evaluate and improve data quality and model performance to ensure consistent, reliable, and accurate insights\nDevelop and execute A/B testing frameworks and experimental designs to validate algorithmic improvements and quantify business impact\nStay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and AI, and proactively incorporate cutting-edge techniques into models and the Ads platform\nPresent findings, methodologies, and business impact of data science initiatives to technical and non-technical stakeholders\nSkills and attributes for success:\nProven experience in data science and machine learning preferably in AdTech or related industries\nStrong proficiency in Python, SQL, and relevant data science libraries (Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.)\nExpertise in building and deploying machine learning models into production systems\nExperience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud)\nDeep understanding of statistical analysis, machine learning, data mining, and predictive modeling techniques\nShould be comfortable leveraging LLMs and internals\nStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business problems into data science solutions\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to non-technical stakeholders\nPreferred education and experience:\nBachelors/Masters in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field with 4-6.5 years of experience in data science.\nAbout Us\nPerched firmly at the nucleus of spellbinding content and innovative technology, JioStar is a leading global media & entertainment company that is reimagining the way audiences consume entertainment and sports.
