Our stores (and online presence) are thriving, and we’re looking for a detail-driven Senior Inventory Accountant to help account for our inventory.\nThe Senior Inventory Accountant is the backbone of our inventory financial operations - ensuring accuracy in inventory valuation, COGS, stock ledger integrity, and reporting. You’ll work closely with the merchandising, logistics, IT, and finance teams to keep inventory accurate and the business running smoothly and profitably.\nThis position will require being onsite at our City of Industry, CA office three (3) days a week.\nWHAT YOU WILL DO:\nPrepare month-end journal entries such as domestic/international freight, material allowances, inventory shrink reserves, accruals, reclasses and amortizations in compliance with company policies and GAAP\nPrepare month-end account reconciliations\nProvide insightful inventory and COGS variance analyses, analyzing forecast and prior year trends\nResearch and resolve all stock ledger and inventory discrepancies by coordinating with IT, warehouse, and other system owners\nPerform quarterly audits of e-comm orders in local stores\nAssist in the reconciliation and reporting of the semi-annual physical inventory for the stores, DCs and Internet, through activities such as researching discrepancies, following up with the cross-functional partners, and reporting results\nCollaborate with external and internal auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance for areas of responsibility\nContinuously improve processes to make inventory accounting faster, smarter, and cleaner\nSupport other inventory team members during peak periods\nPerform ad hoc analyses and reporting, as needed\nWHAT YOU WILL NEED:\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field\n5+ years of inventory or cost accounting experience (retail or wholesale industry experience preferred)\nSolid understanding of GAAP and internal controls for related areas\nProficiency with ERP/accounting systems (Oracle Fusion preferred)\nWorking knowledge of stock ledger and reconciling to GL (Oracle Retail Management experience a plus)\nAdvanced Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets;
