As Deal Desk Manager, you will own how Hex turns a signed deal into cash. You'll reimagine our quote-to-cash process for the next five years, choose and implement the systems behind it, and run the monetization committee that keeps our pricing and packaging flexible. You'll partner daily with Sales, Finance, Legal, Product, and Engineering, and your work will directly affect margin, sales velocity, and how quickly new reps ramp. This is a rare chance to design a Q2C engine from first principles at a company in hypergrowth, with real executive visibility.\nWhat you will do:\nDesign and implement a new order-to-cash system and own the business case, including moving billing off Stripe to improve gross margin.\n\nChair the monetization committee: bring data on pricing, packaging, and discounting, and drive decisions that keep Hex flexible to what the market requires.\n\nRun deal desk day to day: review and approve non-standard deals, structure ramps, commits, and usage terms, and keep turnaround fast without giving up margin or compliance.\n\nStreamline CPQ to shorten sales cycles, cut quoting friction, and reduce time to ramp for new AEs.\n\nPartner with Finance to reduce the time it takes to close the books, including clean hand-offs on invoicing, revenue recognition, and collections.\n\nImprove the provisioning process so Hex can support 10x the customers and transactions.\n\nBuild the approval matrix, deal guardrails, and playbooks that let reps close standard deals without deal desk involvement.\n\nReport on the health of the process: cycle time, discount and margin leakage, quote-to-cash errors, and days to close.\n\nAbout You:\n4+ years in deal desk, sales finance, or revenue operations at a B2B SaaS company, including ownership of a Q2C process end to end.\n\nExperience leading a CPQ and/or billing system implementation or migration.\n\nStrong grasp of SaaS contracts, revenue recognition, and the margin implications of pricing and billing structures.\n\nFamiliarity with usage-based and hybrid pricing models.\n\nProficiency in Salesforce and a CPQ and billing stack.\n\nTrack record of aligning Sales, Finance, Legal, and Product on a hard decision.\n\nClear written and verbal communicator who can explain trade-offs to executives and AEs alike.\n\nBias to action, high ownership, and comfort with ambiguity.\n\nThe salary range for this role is: $164,000 - $205,000\nIn addition to our unique culture, Hex proudly offers a competitive total rewards package, including but not limited to, market-benched salary & equity, comprehensive health benefits, and flexible paid time off.\nThe salary range shown may be a reflection of additional factors such as geographical location and skill ranges/levels we’re open to.
