We are looking for a highly skilled Scientist to lead technical aspects of multiple projects, ensuring excellence from concept to manufacturing. This is an opportunity to work on challenging projects, drive innovation, and make a real impact in healthcare.\nWhat You’ll Do\nResolve a wide range of technical challenges across multiple projects to meet established targets.\nExecute projects according to agreed work plans, selecting optimal methods and techniques for best solutions.\nProvide technical support to projects beyond your direct responsibility.\nPresent recommendations and contribute to idea generation within cross-functional teams.\nGenerate high-quality technical documentation and reports.\nContribute to process and procedure improvements.\nCommunicate effectively with clients and stakeholders on project-related topics.\nRecommend methods and procedures for new or special assignments.\nDevelop new procedures and methodologies based on experience and innovative approaches.\nGenerate Intellectual Property and promote scientific activities and innovation.\nDevelop your own and others’ technical competencies.\nRepresent Hovione at external events, conferences, and industry forums.\nTrain staff in specialized subjects related to your expertise.\nParticipate in inspections and internal/external audits.\nNetwork with peers internally and externally beyond your area of expertise.\nLead and participate in peer reviews within cross-functional teams and asset groups.\nEnsure all assigned tasks are delivered on time, safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.\nPropose improvements and solve problems proactively.\nMake quality, timely decisions within your scope of responsibility.\nGather and analyze relevant data to inform decision-making on complex issues.\nExecute professional activities in compliance with GMP, HSE guidelines, and internal/external requirements.\nPromote and maintain Hovione’s policies, systems, and procedures (COPs, HBR, SOPs, etc.).\nCarry out tasks safely and in compliance with environmental, health & safety regulations.\nWe are looking to recruit a Candidate:\n Education: University degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Sciences, Pharmaceutical Technology, Biological Engineering, Biology, or Mechanical Engineering (specific for devices) or similar scientific field (mandatory). PhD preferred.\n Experience: Typically 3-5 years of relevant experience in Research & Development and/or Operations in the Pharmaceutical Industry, or a Ph.D. in a relevant scientific field.\nStrong understanding of:Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Unit Operations, OR\nReaction Engineering, Heat Transfer, Scale-up, Process Safety, and Industrial Operations, OR\nDrug product unit operations, solids flow phenomena, and process equipment, OR\nDrug Product formulation, Drug delivery, OR\nMechanical Engineering and Fluid Dynamics.\n\nKnowledge of mathematics, preferably data management, statistics, and first-principles modeling (preferred).\nFluency in English is required.\nComputer literacy with good working knowledge of MS Office.\nMust have the knowledge, experience, and skills to conduct tasks in accordance with established rules and procedures.\nPreferred Qualifications\nEngineering background: Solid foundation in mechanical, biomedical, or related engineering disciplines.\nModelling expertise: Experience in process modelling, simulation, or computational analysis.\nInjectable product experience: Familiarity with injectable drug development, manufacturing processes, or related technologies.\nHovione is a proud Equal Opportunity Employer\nInclusion and diversity are key to us.
