Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed, and may be required to perform additional, position-specific tasks.\nConducts pre-operations inspections to ensure machine is ready to be operated in safe and efficient manner.\nReads and executes daily production schedule as directed by supervisor.\nWill measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on material or work piece as guides for subsequent machining.\nSelects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machinery.\nCalculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut.\nStarts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls or control media as required and reports problems to supervisor as necessary.\nVerifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications and stops production if any part that is detected to be out of specification.\nWill confer with Machine Shop Supervisor to resolve machining problems.\nProduces daily production reports, inspections and other reports as directed by supervisor.\nMust have understanding and knowledge of company procedures and work instructions.\nMaintains a safe and organized workstation and follows all company policies and safety procedures. \n Basic Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or GEDfrom an accredited institution.\n\nMinimum 1 year of related experience and/or training;\n\nThis position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.\n\nEmployees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
