This includes responsibility for the timely and accurate filing of necessary records to demonstrate compliance with applicable federal, state, and Howmet programs such as sustainability, as assigned\nDrive environmental stewardship through the development and execution of management systems designed to ensure compliance with all Howmet and governmental regulations\nLead environmental permit review requirements to maintain compliance and interface with regulatory agencies\nMaintain all records and documents as necessary\nEvaluate production and equipment changes to ensure environmental requirements are sustained or improved upon\nDevelop and deliver EHS compliance training.\nManage and/or perform hands-on monitoring and measurement\nWhile supporting rapid growth the aerospace industry, lead cross functional teams to implement environmental improvement projects, while ensuring no adverse risk to health and safety \nEvaluate processes to optimize, minimize, or eliminate waste and reduce water usage, thereby driving corporate and business-unit sustainability goals while developing best practices\nLead contractor management of the wastewater treatment and discharge program\n BASIC QUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution\n3 years of environmental experience in manufacturing or similar environment\nPrior experience writing waste water permits, monitoring compliance, reporting and storm water management\nExperience with supporting health and safety programs\nEmployee must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\n5 years of environmental experience in manufacturing or similar environment\nExperience with Wastewater & Stormwater operations, reporting and compliance\nCertified Industrial Stormwater Operator or Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator \nExperience with computer systems such as spreadsheets and technical applications\nAbility to read, analyze, and interpret EHS regulations and standards and other technical reports and data\nAbility to write reports, correspondence and procedure manuals\nAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and employees\nAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete requirements in situations where only limited standardization exists\nAbility to interpret and apply Federal, State of Michigan and local
