This position is responsible for the determination of accept/reject status of components as compared to company instruction and/or customer requirements, throughout various stages of in-process work ensuring the accuracy of all findings. All training necessary to successfully perform this job will be provided in-house by Howmet.\nJob Responsibilities\nReview work instructions, stored electronically and written in English, for each job assignment to ensure compliance with product requirements. \nKnowledge of and adherence to, Company quality procedures.\nAbility to interpret instructions, blueprints, and inspection requirements.\nIdentify coat vs. no-coat areas on component blueprints when required.\nSet up, program, and operate dot-peen equipment.\nWill be expected to cross-train other Inspectors as needed or directed.\nTransport cartons of work between operations as required.\nAbility to use proper and safe containerization methods for all hazardous waste.\nResponsible for the completion of any/all routers and reports including computer reports) in a legible and timely manner.\nKeep work area clean according to 6’S standards.\nAdhere to applicable quality standards, company policies and procedures, customer requirements, and safety initiatives.\nPerform other job duties as needed or directed by management.\n Minimum Qualifications\nThis position requires a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.\nEmployees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.\nThis position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant’s ability to lawfully obtain access to such items. Appropriate substantiating documentation is required.\nPreferred Qualifications\n1-3 Years of manufacturing experience highly desired.\nExperience in a quality-related or inspection position.\nSkills & Abilities: \nMust be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence or documentation.\nGood math skills with the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.\nAbility to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
