Training is 1st shift, M-F 7am-3pm. The shift hours are to be determined upon training completion.\nNew Hire Starting Rate: $34.64 p/hr. This position will receive an hourly “shift premium” of $1.00 p/hr. while assigned to an off shift.\nJob Summary: The Maintenance Mechanic will install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, and piping systems of industrial equipment and facilities.\nEssential Functions & Job Responsibilities:\nAbility to read and follow the information on work instructions.\nRecord data either manually or by computer as required.\nAssist with testing and repair of equipment.\nTest malfunctioning equipment and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem and assist with repairs, as directed.\nAssist with the dismantling of machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts, as directed.\nAssist with the facility preventive machine procedures.\nLays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment, as directed.\nOperates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.\nFabricates and repairs counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures.\nRigs equipment for installation or relation, as directed.\nMust be familiar with and provide all types of hand tools as required.\nMust be able to read basic blueprints to install equipment and components.\nAbility to operate an industrial forklift.\nMust be able to work in varying heights up to and including 50 feet.\nSkills and Abilities:\nForklift License required with renewal every two years. Confined space entry certification with recertification every year.\nAbility to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondences. \nGood communication skills.\nAbility to calculate figures and amounts, such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.\nAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.\n Basic Qualifications:\nAn application must include a resume and two professional references for review and consideration.\nThis position requires a minimum of a high school diploma or GED certificate. \nApplicants must have at least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience and/or training.\nAvailability for all shifts (including 2nd shift, 3rd shift, and weekend shift) is necessary. The ability to work overtime and weekends is required as schedules may vary based on operational needs; flexibility is essential.\nInternal candidates must be in great attendance standing.\nEmployees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
