Overseeing all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely payments.\nKey activities:\nWith support from the payroll team, manage end-to-end payroll processing and ensure efficient, quality and timely functioning of payroll and Time & Attendance transactional services.\n\nEnsure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws, regulations and company policies related to processing of payroll.\n\nWork in close collaboration with HR, providing advice and guidance to HR and Hungary leadership for payroll related matters.\n\nCollaborate with HR & the GPS (HR System) support function to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data between GPS and Payroll systems\n\nManage the relationship with payroll, T&A and Cafeteria vendors, monitor performance, ensure delivering Howmet needs and coordinate development initiatives.\n\nMonitor and resolve payroll discrepancies, investigating and resolving issues promptly and accurately.\n\nEnsures reconciliation of payroll related general ledger accounts.\n\nEnsures timely and accurate reporting of training to national registry of adult education.\n\nMust ensure SOX and internal audit compliance while carrying out his/her duties and testing is completed per agreed timetable for Hungary Payroll.\n\nMaintain confidentiality and data security standards for all payroll-related information.\n\nRepresents payroll function during internal and external audits of Howmet-Köfém Ltd.\n\nCollaborate with the leads of other Howmet countries for payroll to share and receive best practice ideas that can be implemented for the betterment of the payroll function.\n\nOversees month-end and year-end closings, ensuring accurate and timely closing.\n\nPerforms duties independently and coordinates direct reports’ activities in line with legal, CBA and company policy requirements.\n\n Education, experience and skills:\nBasic:\nBachelor’s degree from an accredited institution \nPayroll and social insurance specialist certification or equivalent professional education\nMinimum 3 years of experience managing a payroll team\nBasic English language skills \nComprehensive understanding of end-to-end payroll processing requirements\nStrong systems knowledge, including the ability to quickly learn new systems\nEffective people management skills\nAbility to influence and collaborate with all levels of the organization including leadership while building cross-functional relationships with HR, finance, and operations teams\nExcellent planning and organizational skills\nPreferred:\nKnowledge of interactions between HRMS systems & payroll processing\nExperience of working within a matrix organization\nDemonstrable project management experience\nPayroll system implementation experience\nWe will appreciate your services by providing:\nA competitive remuneration package\nHybrid work schedule, promoting a collaborative work environment and flexibility\nOpen minded and welcoming environment, where your ideas are taken seriously\nChallenging duties in truly International environment\nRelocation sponsorship is not available for this position.","description_format":"text","description_chars":3328,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":3,"management_years_min":3,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[{"language":"English","level":"Elementary (A1)","optional":false}]},"benefits":["Cafeteria","Hybrid work"],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":true,"industries":["Aerospace Manufacturing","Metals & Metallurgy","Automotive Components"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-20T22:18:38Z"}],"visa":[{"country":"US","licensed_sponsor":true,"evidence":"H-1B filings in 12 months: 2","filings_12m":2,"filings_prev_12m":1,"green_card_filings_12m":0,"median_offered_wage_usd":132500,"route":null,"cap_exempt":false,"checked_at":"2026-10-29T16:27:21+00:00","sources":["US Department of Labor: LCA disclosure data (H-1B, H-1B1, E-3)"],"filings_for_role_12m":0},{"country":"GB","licensed_sponsor":true,"evidence":"Licensed UK visa sponsor (Senior or Specialist Worker, Skilled Worker)","filings_12m":null,"filings_prev_12m":null,"green_card_filings_12m":null,"median_offered_wage_usd":null,"route":"Global Business Mobility: Senior or Specialist Worker;
