This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn and grow skills in various disciplines. i.e. tube bending, metal forming, drafting, modeling, additive manufacturing (3D printing), Inspection methods, non-destructive testing, process improvement, product requirements, etc.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport daily operations and troubleshoot production issues \nEvaluate and improve existing manufacturing processes and products\nDesign and modify fixtures, tooling, and gauging\nProduce, update, and review engineering drawings and op sheets\nDocument key processes and train operators to standardized work\nDisposition nonconforming material and perform RCCA\nResearch and develop new processes in accordance with customer specifications. \nRecommend, justify, and implement Capital Expenditures and equipment upgrades\nPerform Contract Review and risk analysis\nReview and interpret customer drawings, specifications, and PO requirements and incorporate them into manufacturing processes\nParticipate in PPAP, PFMEA, and creation of internal and external flow downs\nDevelop Bill of Materials and Bill of Operations for new product\nInteract with customers, operators, sales reps and vendors. \nEvaluate data and product specifications to determine the feasibility of product proposal. \nAnalyze data and reports to determine if product meets specifications. \nReduce waste and increase capacity/efficiency through application of continuous improvement tools (i.e. structured problem solving, setup reduction, organization and standardization of machining centers, mistake-proofing in tool/fixture design). \n Bachelor’s degree in engineering, metallurgy or materials science preferred. \n3+ years of process/manufacturing engineering experience in applying advanced engineering principles in a metal forming manufacturing environment is preferred. \nStrong tool design experience required\nAerospace industry experience or exposure preferred. \nWorking knowledge of manufacturing methods, concepts, processes, and systems. \nSolid analytical skills and the ability to define and brainstorm solutions to problems. \nAbility to program and operate CNC machines (mill, lathe, EDM) preferred\nStrong computer skills including MS Office\nExcellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills\nAbility to function effectively in a team environment, collaborate with other departments, and work independently\nTraining in Lean Six Sigma / Continuous Improvement Tools preferred. \nProduct prototyping, qualification and/or testing experience preferred. \nFamiliarity with ISO 9000 or AS9100 quality standards preferred. \nWorking knowledge of CAD software required; SolidWorks and/or NX is preferred.\nWorking knowledge of MBD is preferred\nFamiliarity with ERP systems is preferred\nVerification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
