Reviews and analyzes purchasing requisitions, investigates and develops sources of supplies, prepares bid specifications, issues bid requests and reviews quotations.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : This is not intended as a comprehensive list; it is intended to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities. Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed, and may be required to perform additional, position-specific tasks.\nAbility to negotiate pricing in conjunction with our long-term agreement contracts\nProcess receiving transactions and material allocation daily\nTrack incoming material on time delivery from vendors\nWorks to manage inventory levels to adhere to budgetary guidelines\nDevelop relationships with all vendors to assure that the company receives quality materials and competitive pricing to meet corporate standards.\nWorks to quality standards for material purchases\nNegotiate vendor agreements to minimize inventory overages while assuring on-time delivery.\nSource secondary vendors to ensure product availability.\nTimely and accurate purchase order entry based on MRP\nTimely communication with manager, internal and external customers.\nProduce periodic reports for manager as needed\nAnalyze inventory reports to identify slow moving items, overstocked items and obsolete inventory. Work in conjunction with production departments to maintain appropriate inventory levels and turn slow moving items, overstock items and obsolete material into cash\nSource, negotiate and transact scrap sales.\nOther duties as assigned\n BASIC QUALIFICATIONS\nHigh school diploma or equivalent GED from an accredited institution.\n\nMinimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.\n\nThis position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.\n\nEmployees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
