Nestled halfway between South Bend and Chicago, along the shores of Lake Michigan - our facility in La Porte, Indiana supplies jet engine components to some of the most trusted names in the Aerospace industry.\nJob Summary - This position will be responsible for the metallurgical integrity and cost performance of a portfolio of investment cast, super alloy, aerospace and power generation components.\nEssential Functions\nDevelop new, and refine existing, investment casting processes to reduce scrap, rework, and manufacturing costs.\nSupport manufacturing in the processing of castings through all operations.\nWork concurrently with customers to design components for castability.\nMaintain customer relationships through joint resolution of issues.\nJob responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:\nMaintain and improve casting scrap rates.\nMaintain and improve casting rework rates.\nImprove casting profitability through cost reductions.\nDevelop and refine manufacturing work instructions.\nDevelop casting processes for new products.\nAssist sales department in quotation of new products.\nAchieve cost targets for development and production castings.\nEstablish and achieve milestones for casting development.\nPerforms other work-related duties as assigned.\n Basic Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline from an accredited institution.\n1 years' work experience in an Engineering role (Co-Op or internship experience will be considered as work experience).\nEmployees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
