This role will be required to work shifts as required by the Company.\nMain Purpose of Job\nAs a Production Operative, you may be required to work across multiple departments including (but not limited to); Hot Works, Cold Works, Billet Cutting, Inspection, Lathes, Centreless Grinding, Packing and Despatch. There will be additional specific duties associated with each of these roles in addition to the main tasks described below:\nKey Tasks and Accountabilities\nThe below is meant to describe the main tasks and is not necessarily an exhaustive list of duties. It does not preclude the need to carry out other specific tasks from time to time as required.\nEnsure that products are manufactured to a high and efficient standard and that any issues are reported.\nEnsure all paperwork/route cards in relation to the department are completed correctly e.g. stamped and booked off in accordance with procedures. \nUnderstand specific inspection instructions as per route cards and Standard Operating Procedures, and work to these instructions.\nTo ensure all work safe instructions and operating procedures are followed at all times.\nBe fully aware of and work to achieve the departmental Key Operating Targets.\nEnsure the full completion of daily production sheets and daily equipment and safety checks in line with company procedures.\nEnsure that maximum throughput is maintained at all times by reporting breakdowns to maintenance, using the correct reporting and logging process.\nRecord the time taken to manage products and downtime issues.\nPractice and enforce a high standard of Health and Safety adherence at all times and ensure that the plant is operated safely.\nMaintain housekeeping of the area to a high standard and embrace the 5S/TPM and PPM Programmes on a daily basis.\nThe loading and unloading of vehicles, where trained and applicable, inclusive of moving product/raw materials through the site.\nAdhere to scrap segregation and waste management procedures. \nRespond quickly to the needs of the business and embrace change through team working, effective housekeeping, flexibility and continuous improvement.\nWork on any piece of equipment where the individual has been trained and is competent.\nEmbrace any new process/training that improves the productivity of the business.\nRedeployment to support other departments/ functions as required.\nWilling to be actively involved in process and housekeeping improvements.\nAny other tasks commensurate with this post. \nNote:This job description is a guide to the principal, current duties of the job.It does not form part of the contract of employment.\nSkills\nAble to work under pressure and deliver results to a defined deadline.\nAbility to work using your own initiative.\nAble to demonstrate strong team building skills and being a team player.\nFlexibility to work across jobs, departments, and sites as and when required.\nAttention to detail.\nExperience\nExperience of working in a Forging environment is preferred. \nAbility to follow job instructions, processes, and internal quality standards.\nA good understanding of the principles of Health & Safety at work.\n Experience\nExperience of working in a Forging environment is preferred. \nAbility to follow job instructions, processes, and internal quality standards.\nA good understanding of the principles of Health & Safety at work.","description_format":"text","description_chars":3461,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Aerospace Manufacturing","Metals & Metallurgy","Automotive Components"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-11-02T17:10:10Z"}],"visa":[{"country":"GB","licensed_sponsor":true,"evidence":"Licensed UK visa sponsor (Senior or Specialist Worker, Skilled Worker)","filings_12m":null,"filings_prev_12m":null,"green_card_filings_12m":null,"median_offered_wage_usd":null,"route":"Global Business Mobility: Senior or Specialist Worker;
