Supervises and coordinates activities of team leaders and workers engaged in production. Establishes and coordinates departmental activities to meet objectives to coincide with plant goals and business metrics.\nThe Supervisor (Wax)-IGT Weekend shift hours will be 6:00am - 4:00pm Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.\nSalary:\nAnticipated Pay Range: $67K-124K per year. *Pay rates within this range are determined based on various factors including experience, education, certifications, etc.\nEssential Functions and Job Responsibilities:\nThe IGT Production Supervisor is required to follow all Howmet safety regulations, work rules and all departmental specific requirements.\nThe IGT Production Supervisor will record data either manually or by computer as required. Examine castings and products at various stages of processing procedures for conformance to both internal and external specifications. \nObserves machines and equipment for malfunction and orders adjustments or repairs and directs workers to adjust or repair. Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment. Explains company policies to employees and assures compliance with EHS responsibilities.\nConducts employee training, practices incident prevention techniques, facilitates between Managers, EHS resources, employees and conducts self-inspections with verification regarding compliance. \nExplains specifications, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties. Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules. \nRecommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew. \nAnalyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems. Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.\nMaintains time and production records. \nEstimates, provides requisitions for, and inspects materials. Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments. \nEstablishes project plans and coordinates activities for continuous improvement initiatives. Makes recommendations for employee status (hiring / terminations and promotions of employees. \nResolves grievances and employee relations issues as they arise. Completes performance evaluations on his/her employees as required. Administers employee corrective action for his/her employees. \nResponsible for training and mentoring team leaders for their individual development. Must comply with all company attendance policies and guidelines; this includes, but is not limited to, regular attendance and occasional overtime.\nMaintains measurement/metrics for departmental performance.\nOther duties as assigned.\n Basic Qualifications:\nThis position requires a minimum of a High School diploma/G.E.D.\nOne year of manufacturing leadership experience.\nEmployee must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
