You will supervise and coordinate activities of team leads and workers engaged in production. This position will establish and coordinate activities to meet objectives to coincide with plant goals and business metrics.\n\nJob Duties and Responsibilities:\nOptimize cycle times while maintaining dimensional integrity and requirements.\nTroubleshoot machining issues and revise programs to improve yield and reduce scrap.\nCollaborate with Quality to resolve nonconformances an implement corrective actions.\nProvide technical guidance to CNC Machinists and Setup Technicians along with training.\nMaintain program documentation, revision control, and backup systems\nSupport lean manufacturing and continuous improvement efforts.\nEnsure compliance with safety procedures and company policies\nFollow all of Howmet's safety regulations, work rules, HR policies and specific requirements\nCreates an ownership culture of safety, compliance, and awareness\nFollows and drives quality ownership, respect for the product, and a \"STOP\" culture\nUnderstands contraint management, OEE, and applies techniques to improve and eliminate waste\nAssigns work to meet production schedules\nDevelops and implements strategic plans, team goals, and objectives that align with plant objectives\nDrives 6S and the elimination of waste throughout respective areas\nProvides leadership and drives continuous improvement (lean manufacturing) and efficiencies\nCreates an environment that fosters employee engagement\nDrive cost reductions to improve profitability\nIdentify opportunities for enhancement and make improvement suggestions to management\nSupport the simplification and standardization of processes in a bid to enhance effectiveness\nJob Roles\nIdentify and remove obstacles to productivity at individual and systematic levels; inspires and equips employees to perform\nManage time well and efficiently\nAlign people and resources to demand and forecast needs\nHold employees accountable\nRetain authority while delegating ownership\nCommunicate openly and regularly, maintaining information flow\nBe visible on the manufacturing floor\nFind efficiencies and gains, solicits, and implements ideas and invites improvements\nHandles escalations objectively, recasts difficult situations as opportunities for learning and growth\n Basic Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree or technical certification in CNC Programming, Manufacturing Technology or related field.\n5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.\n2 years programming of CNC turning machines\nM and G code knowledge\nAbility to read and interpret complex Engineering documents\nEmployees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in business or other related technical fields \nExperience with Lean, Six Sigma techniques, or other approved continuous improvement tools/methodologies\nHigh attention to detail and quality, ability to work in a fast-paced aerospace production environment.\nStrong verbal and written communication.\nBasic 6S knowledge\nExperience with machining aerospace fittings or tight-tolerance components preferred.\nStrong understanding of GD&T\nFamiliarity with: AS9100 quality systems, First Article Inspection (AS9102) and NADCAP requirements (if applicable).\nStrong collaboration and communication skills and process improvement mindset\nSalary Range: $70,000-$110,000. depending on experience\nLet Your Career Take Flight at Howmet Aerospace!\nWe recognize and reward our employees’ contributions with a competitive total rewards package.
