Production Worker (Process Team Member - 2nd Shift)

Howmet Aerospace is currently looking a Process Team Control Operator to join our Howmet Alloy plant located in Dover, New Jersey. The work hours for this Afternoon Shift position are Monday to Friday 2PM-1030PM.

Training will occur on Monday - Friday 6AM-2:30PM for several weeks

New Hire Starting Hourly Rate: $25.66; After 12 Months: $28.31

Position will receive an hourly "shift premium" while assigned to an off shift

• Expected to assist in the implementation of Howmet Aerospace’s EHS value and policy statement and its accompanying principles;

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Job Functions

• Read, understand and follow process instructions.

• Process all heats to customer specification.

• Clean molds using tube cleaner or by hand for 9.25 using alternate cleaning method.

• Set up mold tubes, install stools, hot tops vacuum and stage for use.

• After melting operation is completed and cooled, number heat in proper sequence.

• Perform knock down of tubes from mold racks.

• Stage bar stock properly for transport to bar line knock out press.

• Perform preventive maintenance, minor repairs on equipment in work area including the dust collection system.

• Position requires use of a manipulator to maneuver and stand up tubes on end to be put in frames. These tubes vary in size from 3.5” to 7 1/4” and weighs between 71 lbs. and greater than 300 lbs. The lighter tubes can be manipulated up to 140 times a day. The larger tubes (5.5 to 7 1/4) can be moved up to 72 times per day. There are team members available to give assistance as necessary.

• 9.25 requires use of overhead crane and clamp to position in frames. Tubes can be moved up to 36 times per shift.

• Perform any other duties as assigned by Team Leader or Supervisor.
