This role serves as a key liaison between the customer and internal teams, providing technical Quality support, managing customer requirements and corrective actions, and driving resolution of quality issues. The Quality Engineer leads continuous improvement, corrective and preventive actions, audits, APQP/NPI activities, and problem-solving initiatives while supporting Manufacturing, Engineering, Sales, and Suppliers.\nEssential Functions & Job Responsibilities:\nEnsure product compliance with customer purchase orders, blueprints, BOMs, specifications, and approved requirements.\nServe as the primary point of contact and advocate for customers; maintain effective communication and support customer needs.\nComplete and submit customer verification requirements and product qualifications.\nConduct and maintain weekly BOM, specification, and PC approval reviews to ensure ongoing compliance.\nSupport customer calls, meetings, visits, and Quality-related activities.\nManage customer returns, including disposition for repair, scrap, or return.\nPrepare and submit customer corrective actions and 8Ds/CAR responses.\nCoordinate nonconforming material reviews and customer concession requests.\nProvide technical Quality support to Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, and Suppliers.\nDevelop, maintain, and implement Quality procedures and instructions to meet customer and organizational requirements.\nLead corrective and preventive actions, root cause analysis, problem solving, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nParticipate in continuous improvement team and one Kaizen events.\nLead the internal audits and promote best practices across the facility.\nPerform Product Integrity Audits \nConduct daily production floor walks from Wax through Final Verification and monitor Hold Tables.\nDelegate daily tasks to Quality Technicians and follow up on issues requiring additional support.\nSupport Quality Technician ownership of Parts Submissions.\nPerform purchase order and specification reviews, APQP, NPI, and translation of customer requirements to the internal documentation.\nParticipate in plant-level APQP/NPI activities.\nSupport, lead and maintain FMEA, problem-solving, and root cause analysis activities.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n Skills & Abilities\nAbility to write reports, business correspondence, and create project plans. \nAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from the customer and/or management.\nAbility to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.\nExperience working with customer requirements, specifications, drawings, BOMs, and purchase orders.\nWorking knowledge of quality tools and methodologies, including root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action, FMEA, 8D, PPAP, APQP, and problem-solving techniques\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. \nRequired to pass a vision exam utilizing the Tumbling E Chart Per ISO 18490\nEmployees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
