This position does not directly supervise other personnel. The incumbent communicates continually with all levels of personnel across all departments at Cleveland Operations. Externally, they communicate with customers and suppliers.\nAccountability Objectives\nResponsibilities include but are not limited to:\nVerifying CMM reports and blueprints.\n\nDeveloping and maintaining Quality Assurance standard procedures that meet customer specifications and Howmet objectives.\n\nAssisting with Quality Planning and new product launch activities through APQP.\n\nPerforming customer interface activities related to quality requirements and final product realization.\n\nMonitoring and assisting outside suppliers to assure compliance to customer specifications and Howmet requirements.\n\nImplementing and maintaining quality assurance systems, procedures, and equipment to meet customer and Howmet quality requirements.\n\nConducting training and developing programs to support product and process quality, productivity, continuous improvement, and safety performance.\n\nUsing and applying Root/Cause Corrective Action systems to evaluate product non-conformances.\n\nParticipating in and/or conducting internal audit planning and preparation, initiating corrective action, and maintaining audit files.\n\nManaging Final Inspection product realization through dimensional, surface, marking identification, and specification requirement verification. Managing and leading departmental quality and productivity improvement projects. Providing Quality Assurance Engineering and Quality Systems support to both internal and supplier final inspection facilities, as needed.\n\nAssisting production personnel proactively to resolve product or process issues using problem solving tools.\n\nImproving products and processes to enhance or exceed internal and external customer expectations using continuous improvement tools and initiatives.\n\nMonitoring and tracking process and product control parameters to validate process reliability and capability.\n\nParticipating in real-time process management support by implementing stability systems linked to improve customer claims, scrap, and reprocessing metrics by controlling key process variables.\n\nCreating and maintaining Failure Made Effect Analysis (FMEA) plans.\n\nCreating and maintaining PPAP plans.\n\nPerforming other duties as assigned.\n\nLet Your Career Take Flight at Howmet Aerospace!\nWe recognize and reward our employees’ contributions with a competitive total rewards package. ISO9000, AS9100, QS-9000, etc.).\n\nThorough knowledge of the forging process and standard practices that would normally be acquired through extensive experience in various technical assignments.\n\nExperience within process CMM or related digital inspection tools and systems.\n\nThe ability to perform dimensional measurement and interpretation of aerospace products to required customer specifications using conventional hand-held measuring instruments.\n\nThe ability to read and understand engineering drawings, specifications, and geometric dimensioning and tolerances per ANSI/ASME Y 14.5.\n\nExperience analyzing and interpreting blueprints, data, manuals, and other materials to determine specifications, formulas, measuring instruments, inspection and testing procedures, and adjustment and certification methods.\n\nWorking Conditions\nThis position involves some degree of exposure to risk of accident and requires following basic safety precautions. Work is normally performed in an interior work environment.
