The Blast-room operator is responsible for abrasive blasting extrusions and other parts and components using an abrasive blast media.\nRole and Responsibilities:\nPerform equipment pre-inspection on daily basis.\nLoads and unloads parts onto blast carts. \nCycles blast cart in and out of blast room.\nOperates an abrasive blast hose to blast extrusions, parts, dies, or any other items as needed.\nMaintains area at all times, ensures area is clean and free from debris or trip hazards.\nAny other duties deemed appropriate by management.\nOperate overhead bridge cranes and jib cranes\n\nOperator forklift and side loader.\n\nComplies with all EHS rules required for the work environment.\n\nPerforms other assigned duties as directed\n\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:\nHighschool Diploma or GED\n\nMinimum 1-4 years quality experience in a manufacturing environment.\n\nThis position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.\n\nEmployees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.\n\nPhysical Demands: This is primarily an warehouse environment position. Sitting, Standing and possibly heavy lifting (50lbs., up to 100 lbs.) may be required.
