to interpret and understand blueprints, sketches, models, work instructions, and other technical documents used in toolroom operations.\nAssist experienced Tool & Die Makers with the fabrication, repair, and maintenance of dies, tools, gauges, jigs, fixtures, and other tooling components.\nDevelop hands-on skills in setting up and operating precision machine tools, including mills, lathes, grinders, and Wire EDM, under the direction of experienced team members.\nLearn and apply proper measuring and inspection techniques using precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, gauge blocks, and other measuring equipment.\nAssist with the assembly, testing, adjustment, and troubleshooting of tooling and mechanical components.\nLearn proper procedures for tool and die maintenance, repair, replacement, and preventative maintenance to support production and minimize downtime.\nAssist with identifying tooling issues and making adjustments or repairs under the guidance of experienced Tool & Die Makers.\nDevelop knowledge of machining processes, materials, tooling, tolerances, and manufacturing methods through on-the-job training and related technical instruction.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and properly care for tools, equipment, and materials.\nFollow all company safety policies, procedures, and required PPE standards.\nParticipate in the Tool & Die apprenticeship program, including classroom instruction, on-the-job training, skill assessments, and other required training activities.\nDemonstrate continuous progress toward developing the skills and knowledge required of a Tool & Die Maker.\nPerform other related duties as assigned to support the toolroom and manufacturing operations.\n Education and Experience\nHigh school diploma or GED equivalent required.\nEnrollment in or willingness to participate in a recognized Tool & Die/Machining apprenticeship program.\nPrevious manufacturing, machining, maintenance, or technical experience is preferred but not required.\nDemonstrated interest in developing a career in Tool & Die Making and precision machining.\nTechnical and Computer Skills\nBasic computer skills and ability to learn company systems and software.\nBasic understanding of mathematics, measurements, and mechanical concepts.\nAbility and willingness to learn how to read blueprints, technical drawings, and machining specifications.\nAbility to learn and properly use precision measuring instruments and machine tools.\nSpecialized Knowledge and Training\nAbility and willingness to learn proper machining, tooling, and toolroom practices through classroom and hands-on training.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.\nAbility to follow written and verbal instructions and ask questions when clarification is needed.\nAbility to learn and apply safety procedures when working around machinery, tools, and equipment.\nDemonstrates dependability, willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic.\nAbility to work effectively with experienced Tool & Die Makers, supervisors, and other manufacturing employees.\nPhysical Requirements:\nMust be able to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods throughout the work shift, depending on task requirements.\nRegularly required to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds, with the use of mechanical assistance or lifting devices as needed.\nFrequent walking is required to move between workstations, equipment, and other areas within the facility.\nMay involve bending, reaching, and other physical activities associated with operating machinery and handling materials.\nWorking Conditions\nFrequently works in close proximity to moving mechanical parts and machinery, requiring constant awareness of surroundings to ensure safety.\nExposed to a moderate noise level throughout most of the workday, consistent with a typical manufacturing or industrial environment.\nOccasionally exposed to loud noise, such as during certain machine operations or maintenance activities; appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided and required as
