In this role, you’ll deliver hands-on training, mentor learners of varying skill levels, and ensure all trainees meet aerospace industry and organizational standards for safety, quality, and productivity.\nThis position is ideal for someone who enjoys teaching others, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is ready to be a part of a growing business\nKey Responsibilities include but are not limited to:\nTrain, mentor, and certify new welders\n\nProvide ongoing skills development, coaching, and performance feedback to welding personnel regarding quality and speed of welds\n\nMonitor workmanship, weld quality yields, and compliance with specifications and blueprints\n\nConduct over-inspection of weld samples/parts to verify quality standards\n\nDevelop and improve welding methods, techniques, and equipment for production applications\n\nServe as a person to share best practices with other facilities\n\nPlan and execute weld repairs on potentially scrap castings\n\nMaintain weld wire, weld cap, and related inventory controls\n\nIdentify risks, gaps, and opportunities to problem solve casting repair and/or operator techniques\n\nSupport time expectations for work completion\n\nAudit standard work and ensure adherence to established procedures\n\nCollaborate with Engineers and Supervisors to evaluate trainees and address training issues\n\nDefine tools and supplies needed for training and production support\n\nAbility to travel on a limited basis\n\nPerform additional duties as assigned to support department and organizational goals\n\nEssential Skills:\nDemonstrated ability to train, coach, and collaborate effectively\nDemonstrated ability to train new employees while taking and communicating directions on business needs\nSelf-driven, disciplined, and able to manage multiple priorities with a strong sense of urgency\nAbility to support development of new welding techniques, work instructions, and implementation of new technologies\n Basic Qualifications:\nCertified Welder via AMS2694 or relevant AWS certification\n\nMinimum 5 years of professional welding experience in industrial, manufacturing, or fabrication environments.\n\nMinimum 2 years’ experience onboarding and training new weld trainees\n\nEmployees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
