The program focuses on building a strong foundation by exposing engineers to different parts of our Engines business unit. Individuals will participate in three rotations, lasting six months each. Assignments are cross-functional & based on the individual skills of the Engineer as well as the needs of the organization. During the final rotation, the Engineer will seek out a current full-time opening for a permanent position at one of the Howmet Engines facilities. Examples of roles that ETP Engineers transition into are Process Engineer, Product Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Process Owner, Automation Engineer or Facilities Engineer.\n*Candidates must be willing to relocate during the 18 month program*\nWhere Will This Position Be? The three assignments will be assigned in the following cities:\nDover, NJ (2 facilities)\nHampton, VA (2 facilities)\nLa Porte, IN\nMorristown, TN\nWichita Falls, TX\nWhitehall, MI (6 facilities)\nAcuna/Del Rio, TX\nDaily Responsibilities/Activities: ETP Engineers will learn the following in the program:\nHow to affect change within the business:\no Develop an understanding of how to prioritize projects that have the most impact to the needs of the business.\no Develop the ability to take on technical challenges and deal with complexity that culminates in solutions to the highest priority projects.\no Learn how to implement those solutions during cross-functional technical development opportunities.\nDoman specific knowledge in areas including, but not limited to:\no Casting and supporting processes\no Materials used in our processes (metals/ceramic/polymers)\no Thermal processing\no Dimensional analysis and control\no Non-destructive inspections\no Alloy manufacturing\no Data analytics\no Automation\no Coatings\no Facility engineering\nBasic Qualifications\nPursuing a BS in Engineering from an accredited institution with a Fall 2026 or Spring 2027 graduation date.\nPrevious internship / co-op or work experience is required.\nEmployees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.\nThis position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicants ability to lawfully obtain access to such items\nPreferred Qualifications\nBS in Materials Science & Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Ceramics Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering preferred.\nPrevious internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.\nKnowledge of MS Office and Excel, excellent written and oral communication skills, able to work in a self-directed and team environment and have good organizational skills.\nWorking knowledge of statistical analysis.\nKnowledge/exposure to facilities engineering\nDemonstrated technical ability through classwork, internships/co-ops and projects.\nAbility to work with and lead a team.\nKnowledge of Six Sigma and lean manufacturing.\nDesire to work in an advanced manufacturing environment.\nStrong analytical
