This position will perform a variety of masking procedures covering blades, vanes and other parts from OEM customers, in order to protect them from exposure to various in-house processes.\nJob Responsibilities\nPerforms assignments utilizing a variety of masking tapes, hot waxes, liquid and powder solutions and fixtures as determined appropriate for each job.\nPerform dry masking using powder, cups and a dry press machine to protect specific areas on parts per work instructions supplied.\nAbility to follow instructions from internal routers, departmental operating manual and/or visual pictures as needed.\nUse razor blades, flat and pointed diamond files, scalpels, sticks brushed, foot-operated syringe machine and fixed gauges to apply proper amounts and complete work in an accurate and timely manner.\nFollow established procedures and as appropriate mixes binder to solution and adds thinner to obtain proper flow consisting of liquid mask.\nDip parts into solution as needed or uses hand held devices to apply liquid mask ensuring complete protection to specified area(s).\nProcedures may call for filling internal crevices using powder or hot wax mask to specific parts.\nMonitor activities and inspect own work to assure proper mask is applied, prior to releasing parts to next process on operation.\nAs parts are returned individual may be required to demask, remove wax and deburr parts as instructed.\nAs work is completed, move cartons into designated location for pickup.\nFill out all related paperwork, i.e., routers and/or internal records following standard operating procedures.\nAbility to use proper and safe containerization methods for all hazardous waste.\nKeep work area clean according to 6’S standards.\nAdhere to all company safety rules and practices and wears protective equipment as directed.\nPerform other job duties as needed or directed by management.\n Minimum Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.\nCandidate must be able to read and write in English.\nEmployees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
