Procurement strategies include but are not limited to the security of supply, cost savings, optimization of processes, and supplier risk mitigations.\nPosition can be based out of Whitehall, MI or La Porte, IN\nEssential Job Functions & Responsibilities:\nContract Development and ManagementReview plant requirements and statements of work (SOWs) to identify potential suppliers and contractors.\nCreate, review, and negotiate service agreements and purchase orders to ensure all contract language accurately reflects the scope, requirements, deliverables, performance metrics, pricing, schedule and terms and conditions appropriately.\nCollaborate with Legal, Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with company contract procedures prior to issuance.\nMonitor contract performance to ensure requirements are being met and provide risk mitigation actions as necessary.\n\nProject ManagementLead and support procurement related projects including the sourcing of goods, services, outplant and CAPEX, cost reduction initiatives, supplier growth strategies and supplier onboarding.\nCoordinate with cross functional team stakeholders to define project timeliness, manage deliverables and provide action plans to eliminate project delay.\n\nProcess Control and ComplianceIdentify inefficiencies with procurement processes across the Segment and implement solutions to reduce process waste, improve cost effectiveness, and maintain a high level of compliance with procurement and financial procedures. \n\nMulti-Site SupportProvide direct support to Segment plants to resolve procurement operational challenges and to ensure a consistent and high level of execution. \nAt times, provide backup executional support of plants including, but not limited to the issuance of RFQs, placement of purchase orders, reconciliation of invoices, and other as needed administrative tasks. \n\n Basic Qualifications:\nThree (3) years of experience working in Procurement or Contract Development/Management within procurement with a Bachelor's degree from accredited institution. OR in lieu of degree, five (5) years' experience.\nMinimum of one (1) year experience in ORACLE, or similar type Enterprise Business Systems. \nWillingness to travel up to 25% of the time.\nEmployees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
