This role is critical for safety, compliance, and product reliability in aerospace manufacturing.\nKey Responsibilities\nInspection & Measurement\noInspect machined components using precision tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, CMM)\noVerify dimensions, tolerances, and surface finishes against engineering drawings and specifications\nBlueprint & Spec Interpretation\noRead and interpret complex aerospace drawings (GD&T per ASME Y14.5)\noEnsure compliance with customer and industry standards (AS9100, NADCAP, FAA requirements)\nDocumentation & Reporting\noComplete inspection reports, First Article Inspections (FAI) per AS9102\noMaintain accurate quality records and traceability documentation\noDocument nonconformances and support corrective actions\nProcess Verification\noPerform in-process inspections during machining operations\noVerify setups, tooling, and process parameters\nMaterial & Certification Review\noCheck material certifications, heat treatment records, and special process documentation\noEnsure full traceability of aerospace components\nNonconformance Handling\noIdentify defects and segregate nonconforming parts\noParticipate in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)\n Required Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED equivalent\n3+ years of experience in machining inspection within a manufacturing environment (aerospace preferred)\n3+ years of experience utilizing precise measurement tools inclusive of, but not limited to Calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, Height gauges, surface plates, Optical comparators, Thread gauges, plug gauges, Surface roughness testers\n1+ years of experience reading and interpreting blueprint and engineering drawings.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nAerospace manufacturing experience\nASQ certification (CQI) is a plus\nExperience with FAI (AS9102) strongly preferred\nAS9100 experience\nStrong understanding of:\noGD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)\noAerospace quality standards (AS9100, AS9102)\nProficiency with:\noCMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines)\noInspection tools (manual and digital)\nKnowledge of:\noMachining processes (CNC milling, turning, grinding)\noMaterials used in aerospace (aluminum, titanium, Inconel, etc.)\nAttention to detail and high level of accuracy\nAbility to read complex blueprints and specs\nWork Environment\nManufacturing or machine shop floor\nControlled environments\nRequires standing, handling parts, and working with precision instruments\nCompensation Range:\n$25.00 -
