You’ll help keep production moving by ensuring the right tooling, gages, fixtures, and setup materials are available when and where they’re needed\nSUMMARY\nThe Tooling Coordinator supports plant operations by managing, issuing, and maintaining tooling and setup kits used throughout the manufacturing floor. This position plays an important role in ensuring manufacturing teams have the correct tooling, gages, fixtures, and setup materials available when needed.\nThe Tooling Coordinator also supports continuous improvement initiatives focused on setup efficiency, tooling availability, inventory accuracy, cost reduction, and improved tooling and supply practices.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nManage and maintain inventory of fixtures, diamond rolls, gages, scooters, set masters, and other tooling.\nPerform daily shop-floor walks to identify gages and tooling that are no longer in use and return them to the crib.\nIssue tooling and materials from the crib to the manufacturing floor as needed.\nBuild, maintain, and continuously improve setup tool kits to support efficient machine setups.\nDevelop and improve tooling delivery and staging processes.\nCoordinate operation sheet and tooling documentation control.\nRemove completed operation tool kits from manufacturing cells and return tooling to the crib.\nCoordinate rejected diamond rolls for repair and ensure repaired tooling is properly returned and staged.\nRe-stage and organize all tooling returned to the crib.\nProcess, inspect, and kit new tooling entering the manufacturing operation.\nMaintain and update tooling surveillance inspection stickers.\nCoordinate the movement and availability of inspection gages between the tooling crib and layout.\nSupport the supply crib by issuing materials and maintaining accurate inventory levels.\nWork with outside vendors, suppliers, and internal support teams to maintain appropriate tooling inventory and resolve shortages or discrepancies.\nMaintain accurate tooling inventory records using electronic gage and tooling tracking systems.\nIdentify opportunities to improve tooling availability, setup efficiency, material usage, and overall process effectiveness.\nActively participate in and promote continuous improvement, EHS, Quality, and 6S programs.\nFollow all company policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nKEY CONTRIBUTION\nThis role helps keep manufacturing running efficiently by ensuring the right tooling and setup materials are available, organized, accurately tracked, and ready for use when needed.\nApply Today and Join Our Manufacturing Team!\n EDUCATION\nHigh School Diploma or GED required.\nSKILLS AND ABILITIES\nAbility to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English.\nBasic math skills, including working with decimals and fractions.\nBasic reading comprehension and written communication skills.\nAbility to plan, organize, perform tasks, and make sound decisions in a manufacturing environment.\nBasic computer, keyboarding, and data entry skills.\nAbility to learn and navigate electronic inventory, tooling, and tracking systems.\nFamiliarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, such as Oracle, is preferred.\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.\nAbility to maintain accurate inventory records and follow established processes.\nAbility to work effectively with manufacturing, quality, maintenance, purchasing, and other internal teams.\nEXPERIENCE\nMinimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience required.\nExperience in a warehouse, tool crib, inventory control, or material control environment preferred.\nExperience working with manufacturing tooling, gages, fixtures, or setup materials is a plus.\nExperience using inventory management or electronic tracking systems is preferred.\nEQUIPMENT\nThe position may require the use of:\nManufacturing and production equipment\nComputers and telephone systems\nMobile equipment\nLifting devices used to move tooling, fixtures, and other materials\nExport-Controlled Data\nThis position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.\n\nEmployees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
