The role also manages employee relations casework with the Global Head of HR, helps keep our policies and procedures accurate and aligned with UK legislation, and contributes to company-wide culture and M&A integration work. The primary focus is the UK.\nKey Responsibilities\nUK HR operations\nAct as the first point of contact for UK employees and managers across all five offices on HR queries.\nManage the employee lifecycle: onboarding, contracts, probation, changes to terms, absence, holiday, benefits, pension administration and leavers.\nCarry out right-to-work checks and keep accurate, compliant employee records and HR system data.\nWork with Central Operations in Dubai and with Finance to provide accurate payroll inputs and keep processes running smoothly.\nProduce HR reports and management information, including headcount, absence and turnover.\nEmployee relations\nManage employee relations casework with the Global Head of HR, including grievance, disciplinary, performance, sickness absence and capability cases, investigations, meetings and outcomes.\nCoach and advise line managers on handling issues fairly and in line with the ACAS Code and company procedure.\nPrepare and maintain accurate case notes, letters and documentation, and support settlement agreements and exits with Legal.\nHandle sensitive information with discretion and spot patterns or risks that need escalating.\nPolicy, procedure and legislation\nReview and draft HR policies and procedures with the International HR counterpart, so that UK documents are consistent with group standards and compliant with UK law.\nKeep up to date with UK employment legislation and case law, including the phased implementation of the Employment Rights Act 2025, and advise the Global Head of HR on what needs to change.\nMaintain the UK employee handbook and templates, and communicate policy changes clearly to managers and employees.\nCulture and M&A\nSupport company-wide culture and engagement initiatives, including surveys, events and values activities.\nSupport the people workstream on acquisitions, including due diligence data, TUPE information and consultation, onboarding of transferring employees and communications.\nRegulatory HR support\nWork with Compliance to support HR requirements in an FCA-regulated environment, such as regulatory references, certification and conduct rules training records.\nExperience and Skills\nEssential\nProven experience in a UK HR generalist or HR manager role covering the full employee lifecycle.\nPractical experience of employee relations casework, including grievance and disciplinary processes.\nWorking knowledge of UK employment law and good practice.\nClear, accurate writing, with the ability to draft policies and letters.\nExperience supporting employees across more than one office or location.\nConfident with HR systems and Excel, with strong attention to detail.\nCIPD Level 5 or above, or working towards it.\nComfortable working with colleagues in different time zones, and able to travel between UK offices.\nDesirable\nExposure to M&A, TUPE or integration work.\nExperience in financial services or another regulated environment.\nExperience supporting culture, engagement or internal communications initiatives.\nExperience of working with an international HR team, or with ADP.\nHow You Will
