This role contributes to HP’s long-term circularity ambition aligned to internal 2030 and 2040 management frameworks, enabling scalable, compliant, and high-impact sustainability outcomes.\nKey Responsibilities\n1. Circular Packaging Innovation\nLead development and deployment of renewable and recyclable packaging solutions\nReplace single-use plastics with fiber-based, molded fiber, and bio-based materials\nOptimize packaging design for performance, cost, and lifecycle impact\nEnsure compliance with global requirements (e.g., EPR frameworks, California SB54, and EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR))\n2. Recycled & Renewable Materials Engineering\nIncrease integration of:Post-consumer recycled plastics (PCR)\nRecycled metals and critical materials\n Renewable materials (e.g., bio-based, fiber-based) that are responsibly sourced and certified\nClosed-loop and ocean-bound material\n\nEnsure renewable materials meet:Responsible sourcing standards (e.g., FSC, RSPO, or equivalent)\nLifecycle performance, recyclability, and compliance requirements\n\nSupport qualification and scaling of high recycled and renewable content materials\nDrive supplier engagement and certification for sustainable material sourcing\n3. Design for Circularity (DfC)\nEmbed circularity principles into product design:Durability, modularity, repairability, upgradeability\nDisassembly and recyclability\n\nPartner with R&D teams to influence product architecture and material choices\nAlign product design with ecolabels and sustainability standards\n4. Reuse, Repair, and Takeback\nAdvance lifecycle extension strategies:Repair and refurbishment systems\nDevice life extension and reuse programs\nReverse supply chain optimization\n\nScale reuse of products and components across HP portfolios\nIntegrate reuse into sustainability metrics and operational models\n5.
