The role establishes the decision frameworks, governance, data foundations, and planning mechanisms that connect customer needs, market signals, platform roadmaps, software experiences, services monetization, and portfolio economics. This leader converts uncertainty into structured, defensible recommendations that guide multi-year platform, ecosystem, architecture, and investment decisions.\nResponsibilities\nDesign and operationalize AI-enabled portfolio planning workflows that continuously evaluate market, customer, technology, competitive, and financial signals.\nBuild decision frameworks for portfolio prioritization, roadmap choices, resource allocation, SKU optimization, and cost-of-complexity management.\nDevelop portfolio scenarios and trade-off models across growth, margin, customer value, technology readiness, adoption uncertainty, and ecosystem economics.\nOwn the development and evolution of Agentic AI portfolio maturity model, workload and customer-value segmentation, and repeatable portfolio architecture methods.\nOwn the decision frameworks used to evaluate platform roadmaps, technology transitions, portfolio trade-offs, and resource allocation decisions.\nOwn portfolio architecture, technology transition, and complexity reduction strategies across the Commercial PC portfolio.\nPartner with Category, Engineering, Finance, Technology Strategy, Services, Supply Chain, and other stakeholders to translate AI-generated insights into actionable recommendations and executive decisions.\nEstablish governance, guardrails, data standards, and human-in-the-loop mechanisms so AI-supported recommendations are transparent, responsible, defensible, and decision-ready.\nLead a multidisciplinary portfolio strategy organization and align teams with competing financial, technical, customer, and operational priorities. \nPresent strategy, investment recommendations, risks, and trade-offs to senior executives, serving as a trusted advisor on portfolio direction and emerging AI opportunities.\nEducation Recommended\nFour-year or Graduate Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence. \nTypically has 12+ years of job-related and/or management experience, preferably in product marketing, product design, or a related field.\nExperience Recommended\nSignificant experience leading hardware, software, or integrated solutions portfolios.\nDeep understanding of Agentic AI, emerging technologies, customer needs.\nProduct management background with AI/ML exposure.\nDemonstrated success driving integrated strategic planning in a complex global organization.\nExperience influencing senior-level cross-functional stakeholders and executive relationships.\nStrong understanding of commercial computing, endpoint devices, cloud computing, virtualization ecosystems, and enterprise customer requirements.\nProven ability to drive portfolio revenue growth and profitability.\n Knowledge & Skills\nAnalytics\nBusiness Strategies\nData Analysis\nDigital Marketing\nGo-to-Market Strategy\nKey Performance Indicators\nMarket Research\nMarketing Strategies\nNew Product Development\nProduct Management\nProduct Marketing\nProduct Strategy\nProject Management\nAgentic AI Thought Leadership\nValue Propositions\nDisclaimer\nThis job description describes the general nature and level of work performed in this role.
