Global Business Process Engineer

Description -

Job Summary

Business Process Engineering focuses on designing new business processes, diagnosing challenges within an organization’s current methodologies, and redesigning, reconstructing, standardizing, and monitoring processes to ensure they are effective, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.

Within Field & Channel, the role also requires a strong understanding of Supplier Management, as many process decisions directly impact supplier operations, performance, contractual commitments, cost, and customer experience.

What a Global Business Process Engineer does at HP:

  • Identify customer and business needs, analyze existing processes to understand their strengths and weaknesses, provide solutions to problem areas, and optimize overall operations.

  • Understand the different Field & Channel processes across markets to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and drive global process standardization and simplification.

  • Understand supplier operating models and their integration with internal Field & Channel processes to ensure process changes are operationally feasible and aligned with business and supplier requirements.

  • Partner with Supplier Management and Category teams to assess supplier-related process impacts, including performance, SLAs/KPIs, contractual requirements, cost implications, compliance, and operational risks.

  • Support supplier governance and continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process gaps, analyzing root causes, and defining sustainable corrective and preventive actions.

  • Establish a strong communication bridge between market SPOCs, suppliers, and cross-functional teams such as CCC, CC, Supply Chain, IST, Finance, Category, and Supplier Management.

  • Partner with Global BPEs and Digital Innovation teams whenever automation or digital solutions need to be implemented.

  • Ensure processes required to support global guidelines are properly designed, redesigned, documented, implemented, and monitored to confirm effectiveness and adoption.

  • Lead end-to-end global projects and initiatives, establishing the appropriate structure, governance, stakeholder engagement, risk management, and change management approach.

  • Assess the impact of new processes and transformation initiatives on supplier operations and ensure supplier readiness is considered as part of implementation and deployment plans.

  • Support the definition and monitoring of process performance indicators and supplier-related KPIs to identify improvement opportunities and ensure expected business outcomes are achieved.

Personal skills and qualities that will help you succeed:

  • Build strong relationships and work collaboratively across internal teams, markets, and external suppliers; effective verbal and written communication is key to success in this role.

  • Anticipate stakeholder and supplier needs and provide timely, practical solutions to build credibility and trust.

  • Demonstrate a proven ability to identify, assess, and solve complex business and operational problems.

  • Apply strong analytical skills to assess processes, supplier performance, and operational data to identify improvement opportunities.

  • Influence stakeholders and suppliers to adopt or adjust existing and new processes.

  • Apply best practices in business process analysis, re-engineering, process measurement, continuous improvement, and change management.

  • Work with other Process Engineers and cross-functional teams to integrate new and existing business processes.

  • Prioritize and execute projects that drive ongoing business and supplier performance improvements.

  • Provide guidance on process capabilities, technology, operational risks, costs, and supplier impacts.

  • Balance global standardization requirements with market, customer, and supplier operational realities.

Technical skills:

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.

  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint knowledge is a must.

  • Business Process Management (BPM) knowledge and experience.

  • Project Management knowledge; PMP or equivalent certification will make a difference.

  • Management of Change knowledge, including the ADKAR model, is a plus.

  • Supplier Management knowledge, including supplier governance, performance management, SLA/KPI management, continuous improvement, and supplier operational processes.

  • Understanding of supplier contracts, commercial requirements, compliance, and risk management is highly desirable.

  • Experience working with global and regional suppliers in a cross-functional environment is a strong advantage.

We love our work environment and career growth journey. We think you will too:

  • An inspirational and collaborative team that supports your professional growth.

  • Various career paths that foster development across Business Process Management, Project Management, Digital Innovation, Supplier Management, and people leadership.

  • Freedom to work independently while having the support of a global team when needed.

  • Strong professional exposure through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, suppliers, market teams, and global functions.

  • The opportunity to have a meaningful impact by shaping global processes, influencing supplier performance, and driving transformation across Field & Channel.
