This is an on-the-floor (high visibility/floor presence) position, with an emphasis on Health & Safety.\nWork Schedule: \nMonday - Friday, 1:00pm to 10:00pm; Additional hours based on business need.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nSafety-related responsibilities include:Implement written EHS programs and policies aligned with federal and state requirements.\nDesign and deliver safety orientation and refresher training, perform job hazard analysis, and conduct workplace safety inspections.\nAdminister key programs, such as hearing conservation, hazard communication, industrial hygiene, and contractor safety compliance.\nProvide hands-on guidance to facility managers and supervisors regarding incident reporting/investigation to ensure company standards and processes are met.\nPartner with department leadership teams to drive the annual Safety Improvement Plan.\nProvide internal support for workers’ compensation cases, serve as facility contact for claims questions, and interface with insurance adjusters, medical professionals, and injured workers.\nFacilitate the plant Safety Committee and associated Task Teams.\nPromote a positive safety culture by developing and creating documents, work instructions, and visual aids to support positive employee communications and data delivery.\n\nEnvironmental responsibilities include:Assist with the management of all environmental regulatory programs for the plant, including, but not limited to: air, stormwater, wastewater, hazardous materials, hazardous waste disposal, universal waste disposal, spill prevention, recycling, sustainability reporting, and regulatory reporting.\nInterface with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies, including, but not limited to, Genesee County and NYDEC, to ensure that all environmental aspects, impacts, programs and permits are accepted and understood to be compliant.\n\nEducation and Experience:\nRequires a minimum of a BA/BS degree plus 3 to 5 years of related experience.\nA degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, or related discipline may be considered in lieu of related experience.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office required (e.g., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).\nKnowledge of applicable federal and state regulations required.\nExperience in manufacturing setting preferred, food & beverage is a plus.\nSkills and Competencies:\nDisplays knowledge of federal and state safety and environmental regulatory programs.\nAble to work with and give direction to all departments affected or impacted by EHS programs.\nPartners with Quality, Sanitation, Processing, Packaging, and other affected departments to ensure that EHS compliance obligations are aligned with Food Safety and GMP requirements.\nInspires and motivates others to work safely, and shows strong enthusiasm for workplace safety.\nSpeaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations.\nSeeks feedback to improve performance and exhibits ability to learn and apply new skills.\nSelf-disciplined and highly motivated, with a passion for excellence and a strong drive for success.\n#LI-Onsite #LI-GD1\nExact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location.\nThe pay range for this position is\n$71,000—$81,200 USD\nReady to join us?
