Our portfolio of national and super-regional brands and licensed products includes Hood, Heluva Good, Lactaid, Blue Diamond Almond Breeze, Planet Oat and more.\nPosition Responsibilities/Tasks:\nPerform chemical, bacteriological, and organoleptic analysis of raw, in-process, and finished products.\nObtain samples for testing from silos, tanks and production lines\nGeneration of processing batch tickets from computerized system\nPreparation of lab testing materials/supplies\nMaintain a professional relationship with production and maintenance personnel.\nInstruct, and train present and future laboratory technicians as needed.\nMaintain, review, and distribute quality control reports as requested by QA Manager.\nCalibration of laboratory equipment to assure proper testing.\nReview of lab procedures and policies\nAssist in the samplings and shipment of monthly customer, sales, and regulatory samples.\nAccept, suggest, and assist in the assignment and performance of special projects.\nBe active in the development and enforcement of Lab Safety practices\nAttend trade organization meetings and training sessions as deemed appropriate by the Q.C. Manager.\nSupport SQF by maintaining food safety through completing job tasks and maintaining the area in a sanitary manner.\nMaintain all documented information as per SQF requirements.\nWork overtime, as needed, which will require an obligation from you to fulfill.\nCarry out additional duties assigned by the Lab QC Manager or Supervisor.\nUnderstand and follow all safety procedures, always wear proper PPE, and never put yourself or other employees in harm’s way.\nReport food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.\nPick up work area before leaving at the end of shift.\nCurrent knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Microsoft Office Excel. Adapt to new technology as it comes into the department.\nMust be a team player\nRequired NYSAM Licenses:\nMust successfully obtain Milk receivers, Appendix N for Beta Lactams, DMC licenses within 6 months and maintain thereafter.\nEducation and Experience: \nPrior experience in food manufacturing is a plus.\nKnowledge of food microbiology, chemistry, dairy standards and CIP sanitation is desired.\nIntermediate Computer Skill (i.e. Word, Excel, etc.)\nAbility to work well with people.\nCommunication skills are a must.\nMulti-tasked Individual.\nAbility to work independently.\nBasic English/Math skills\nAble to meet all safety compliance standards.\n Physical Requirements:\nAbility to move throughout all areas of the facility including but not limited to office, production, and warehouse environments. Including the outside perimeter of the building.\nAble to work at heights greater than 40 feet while operating a powered industrial truck.\nAble to wear all necessary personal protective equipment to perform job functions.\nStand and/or sit continuously and perform job functions for a full shift with meal break.\nPhysically able to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, lift, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, handle and move items weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance and move objects exceeding 50 pounds with reasonable accommodations.\nVisual acuity corrected to perform job functions. \nExact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location.\nThe pay range for this position is\n$24.22—$26.91 USD\nReady to join us?
