Shifts may vary during a week and days off may not be consecutive. The Standby Operator covers down where there is the most need. There is no guarantee of what shift will be worked week to week but will be scheduled weekly. \nJob Responsibilities\nDaily Operations of filling and packaging equipment in a production line setting\nOperations of equipment in key areas of dairy processing\nCompliance with New York State regulations\nAdherence to all plant GMP and sanitation policies.\nCompliance with all OSHA regulations as well as 100% plant safety policies.\nFollowing all guidelines and rules associated with local unions CBA.\nOperate a variety of tools and equipment; performs general plant cleaning and grounds maintenance\nMaintain and complete required environmental and production paperwork. Accurate documentation.\nEstablish and maintain working relationships with external agencies (sanitation authorities, equipment vendors, etc)\nSupport SQF by completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner.\nMaintain positive relationships with plant supervisors and managers\nGeneral\nPerform above functions in assigned areas of responsibility\nPerform assigned duties with minimal supervision\nRespond and perform assigned duties in a timely manner\nPerform assigned duties following \"GOOD MANUFACTURING PRACTICES\".\nAttend Daily Production Meeting if required.\nMaintain records and logs as required.\nSupport change over and start up of assigned area.\nAttend all mandatory training\nEducation and Experience\nGED or High School Diploma\nPrior experience in a manufacturing setting preferred\nBasic Computer Skill preferred\nExcellent Troubleshoot Experience\nAbility to work well with people\nCommunication skills are a must\nMulti-tasked Individual\nAbility to work independently\nPhysical Requirements\nStanding: Long periods (a minimum of 8+ hours)\nSitting: Occasionally for short periods\nWalking: Long periods\nBending: Frequently\nLifting: Heavy (50+ lbs) frequently\nCarrying: Heavy (40-60 lbs) frequently distance\nPushing/Pulling: under 75 lbs without assistance frequently\nExact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location.\nThe pay range for this position is\n$23.81—$23.81 USD\nReady to join us?
