You will also participate in ramp-up training and develop skills to teach end users and service partners, building your capabilities as both a technician and a trainer.\nThis role requires up to 50% travel throughout the region for on-site service.\nThe candidate must sit out of the San Francisco Bay Area.\nKey Responsibilities\nCustomer Support & Relationship Management\nMaintain exceptional customer satisfaction by identifying technical needs, clarifying requirements, and delivering timely resolutions.\n\nManage customer-relation issues with professionalism, escalating concerns as needed to ensure proper follow-through.\n\nServe as the primary on-site and remote support contact for HP Indigo press customers.\n\nTechnical Diagnostics, Repair & Service Delivery\nPerform advanced mechanical, electrical, and electronic diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair for HP Indigo digital print systems.\n\nConduct system installation, commissioning, upgrades, operator training, and preventive maintenance.\n\nSupport a diverse range of customer environments, including standard and specialized systems.\n\nTraining & Ramp-Up Development\nParticipate in structured ramp-up training to build deep technical knowledge of Indigo systems.\n\nLearn to deliver technical instruction and operator training for customers and authorized service providers.\n\nGrow into a role capable of providing hands-on teaching, workflow guidance, and best-practice coaching.\n\nProactive Monitoring & Issue Prevention\nUse monitoring tools and methodologies to identify early performance issues and recommend preventive actions.\n\nHelp optimize press performance to reduce downtime and improve customer operations.\n\nDocumentation & Operational Excellence\nMaintain accurate and complete documentation of service work, parts usage, software updates, and technical reports.\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements aligned with global service standards.\n\nEnsure compliance with safety protocols, data confidentiality requirements, and operational policies.\n\nIndependent Execution & Problem Solving\nManage daily service activities with minimal supervision, applying sound judgment and technical expertise.\n\nIdentify root causes, implement corrective actions, and share technical insights with the broader service team.\n\nEducation & Experience\nHigh School Diploma, GED, technical certification, or equivalent hands-on training.\n\n4-6+ years of related field service experience, ideally involving HP products, industrial printers, electromechanical systems, digital printing equipment, or other mission-critical industrial machinery.\n\nPreferred Knowledge & Skills\nTechnical Skills\nElectrical, mechanical, and electronic troubleshooting\n\nElectromechanics & automation\n\nField service management\n\nTest equipment use\n\nPreventive maintenance\n\nSafety standards & EHS\n\nSystem commissioning and installation\n\nOperating system fundamentals\n\nProfessional Skills\nCustomer relationship management\n\nEffective communication\n\nProcess improvement\n\nLearning agility & digital fluency\n\nResults orientation\n\nAbility to teach and coach operators\n\nComfort working with hand tools and industrial systems\n\nThe pay range for this position is$25 to $38 USD per hour (applies to United States of America candidates only).
