Working closely with mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, and operations teams, the Industrial Controls Engineer ensures that control system design supports stable continuous operation, precise process control, and rapid fault recovery in complex industrial environments.\nThe role operates within an Agile SCRUM development model, contributing to sprint planning, backlog refinement, and delivery commitments to ensure predictable, incremental delivery of control system capabilities aligned with program milestones.\nKey Responsibilities\n- PLC & Control Software Development\nDesign, develop, and maintain PLC-based control systems for industrial machinery\nImplement modular, reusable, and configurable control architectures to support scalability across platforms\nDevelop sequencing logic, state machines, and process control aligned with equipment performance requirements\nPromote software standardization and best practices across product lines\n- HMI & Operator Interface Development\nDevelop and maintain operator interfaces for machine control and monitoring\nImplement alarm visualization, user roles, diagnostics, and recipe management\nEnsure HMI designs support usability, maintainability, and consistent operator workflows\n- Motion, Drives & Industrial Networking\nConfigure and commission motion systems, drives, and industrial I/O\nIntegrate industrial communication protocols for machine-to-machine and higher-level system connectivity\nTune and validate system performance to meet throughput and quality targets\nMachine Safety & Functional Safety\nDesign, implement, and validate machine safety solutions in compliance with applicable safety standards\nCollaborate with electrical and mechanical teams to ensure safety architecture supports both compliance and machine performance\nSupport safety commissioning, validation, and documentation activities\n- Commissioning & Debug\nCommission machines in factory and customer controls, or PLC software development (3-5 years with an advanced degree)\nExperience in OEM machine builder or high-speed industrial equipment environments preferred\nKnowledge & Skills\n- Core Skills\nPLC-based control system development\nIEC 61131-3 programming (Structured Text preferred)\nMotion control and servo systems\nIndustrial communication protocols, including:Real-time Ethernet-based networks\nPROFIBUS / PROFINET\nPOWERLINK\nEthernet/IP\nOPC UA for higher-level system integration\n\nHMI development for industrial equipment\nCommissioning, diagnostics, and
