The role ensures designs and project activities are compliant with technology and development guidelines and standards. The role applies advanced subject matter knowledge to provide perspective to cross-organization projects, drive innovation and integrate new technologies into projects. Responsibilities\nLeads multiple project teams of other electrical hardware engineers and internal and outsourced development partners responsible for all stages of electrical hardware design and development for complex products, solutions, and platforms\nConducts part qualification processes through implementation of product quality plans, equipment inspections, factory witness testing, and manufacturing process qualifications.\nExpands relationships with internal and outsourced development partners on electrical hardware design and development.\nReviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with technology and development guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality.\nIdentify trends and opportunities for optimizing product product/solution output, quality enhancements and cost of delivery.\nProvides domain-specific expertise and overall electrical/electronic hardware and platform leadership and perspective to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities.\nDevelops cost estimates, business cases, appropriation requests and plans for electrical/hardware engineering projects.\nLeads delivery professionally written reports, and supports realization of operational and strategic plans.\nDrives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the electrical hardware design organization.\nProvides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members to set an example of electrical hardware design and development, innovation, and excellence. Education & Experience Recommended\nFour-year or Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.\nTypically has 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in electrical design and tools, software packages, architecture of electronic hardware, or a related field.
