Let's go far, together.\nHear directly from our employees, and leaders about their unique journeys at Helmerich and Payne.\nLocation: Tulsa, OK\nWork Type: Onsite\n#LI-Onsite\nAt a Glance:\nThe Financial Reporting Analyst reports to the Senior Manager of External Reporting and is responsible for assisting with the company’s external financial reporting activities and providing technical accounting assistance.\nWhat you will do: \nAssist with the preparation of quarterly and annual SEC reports, including MD&A, utilizing the Wdesk platform\nAssist with audit questions and prepare audit information requests\nPrepare tie-out packages of external and internal reports\nAssist with internal and external audit requests\nProvide technical accounting assistance with special projects\nContribute to process improvement initiatives\nOther tasks and ad hoc projects as assigned\nWhat you need:\nBachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting\nCPA or CPA candidate\n1 - 3+ years of accounting experience\nStrong analytical skills\nExcellent interpersonal skills and written/oral communication skills\nAbility to analyze and interpret accounting information\nExcellent computer skills and able to effectively work and communicate in a multi-disciplinary team environment\nCandidate must be self-motivated, take the initiative to accomplish work and take ownership of projects assigned\nNot a must, but a plus\nExperience working with Wdesk\nBig 4 public accounting firm strongly preferred\nExperience in the oil field service industry strongly preferred\nKnowledge of Hyperion and Oracle preferred\nWhat we offer:\nAt H&P, our commitment to our people is at the forefront, and that includes benefits that provide employees a sense of health and financial security.
