You will be trained on HP customer service practices and standards to handle on-site servicing, diagnostics, and repairs for HP Printers.\nThe Role\nHP is seeking an experienced Large Format Printer Field Service Engineer to join our Global Customer Support Organization. In this customer-facing role, you will provide on-site technical support, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services for HP Large Format Printing equipment. Theideal candidate is a hands-on technical professional with strong mechanical and electrical skills and who thrives in a field-based environment while providing good customer service.\nWe are seeking individuals with a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude who are comfortable working directly with system hardware, software, and network components. This is not a traditional IT support, help desk, systems administration, or network engineering role.\nResponsibilities\nPerform installations, training, maintenance, and repairs on customer's Large Format Printing equipment.\nDetermine site and equipment requirements.\nUnderstand customer goals and identify the consequences of various solutions.\nWork according to the project plan, installation plan, and escalation plan.\nConfigure system hardware, software, and network components.\nAssemble and integrate system/product and verifies system/product operation.\nUse proactive monitoring procedures to identify problem-prevention opportunities.\nProvide the customer with an overview of installation activity, site-specific information, and access to appropriate contacts.\nMaintain a high level of customer satisfaction by clarifying customer needs and ensuring that they are met.\nHandle customer-relations problems promptly and appropriately and escalate issues according to established procedures.\nEducation and Experience\nHigh School Diploma/General Education Diploma (GED)/Higher Secondary education or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.\nHas 6-8 years of related work experience, preferably in HP products in Customer base, account management, computer customer support, on site customer support, Mission Critical, systems experience, or a related field.\nWhat you will bring\nKnowledge and experience with printer's repair support\nExceptional organizational or project management skills\nExceptional communications skills\nProblem-solving skills\nThe ability to build and maintain ongoing relationships with customers, peers, and support partners\nThe ability to perform under pressure where customers rely on you to solve their technical problems\nSkills\nKnowledge of Color Management\nKnowledge of inkjet printing technology\nStrong mechanical skills\nStrong pneumatic skills\nStrong electrical and electronic skills\nStrong computer/network skills\nAbility to work autonomously.\nValid driver’s license in good standing\nAbility to lift, bend and stoop throughout the day as necessary to repair printers.\nSalary\nThe pay range for this position is $25 to $38 USD per hour (applies to United States of America candidates only).
