Principal Product Manager Telemetry and Device Insights Strategy

Description -

The Solutions Strategy team is seeking a highly experienced Product Manager to drive telemetry strategy across HP's PS Commercial portfolio, bringing hardware and services together to deliver differentiated device and fleet insights. This role partners closely with the WXP (HPWorkforceExperiencePlatform) team to shape how IT admins experience and act on device telemetry a strategic priority for HP's long-term growth. You will be part of a team bringing the OneHP value proposition to our customers.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate master-level knowledge of business and technology trends, possess a blend of tactical and strategic abilities, and excel as an effective communicator. This person will bring a customer obsessed mindset, and experience building and deploying compelling and differentiated customer solutions. They will be comfortable working with and influencing large, cross-function teams that defy the status quo.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and drive the telemetry strategy for PS Commercial, prioritizing capabilities based on a deep understanding of customer needs, competitive landscape and alignment with Personal System & HP Solutions goals

  • Partner with HP Solutions on telemetry-driven IT experiences, translating strategy into product and roadmap decisions

  • Build financially grounded business cases connecting telemetry investments to revenue and profit outcomes

  • Develop, foster and maintain critical stakeholder relationships across Product, HP Solutions, Engineering, Quality, Customer Support to ensure alignment to strategy and priorities

  • Define and own success metrics to ensure maximum benefit and sustained competitive advantage, using usage and behavioral data to guide roadmap iteration

  • Act as the voice of the customer - synthesizing feedback from customers, partners and analysts into strategy refinements

  • Scope research needs and oversee research projects to fill insight gaps

Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:

  • 10+ years of Product Management experience, ideally including hardware-services solutions

  • MBA, Master's Degree preferred

  • Track record of building innovative, differentiated products / solutions from strategy through execution; Services experience a plus

  • Experience driven design, use case development, and customer journey mapping experience

  • Creative thinking for new opportunity identification

  • Strong financial and analytical skills - comfortable building and defending business cases with data

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams without direct authority

  • Highly developed negotiation & influencing skills

  • Deep understanding of IT hardware and services industry

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, develop relationships across organizations and accomplish goals under pressure situations. Strong skills in exercising independent judgment.

  • Flexibility, adaptability, comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities in a fast-moving environment

The pay range for this role is$137,700 to $205,200 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
