This is an opportunity to influence a global program that touches how people travel, gather, collaborate, and experience high-visibility meetings and events around the world.

Based in our offices in Spring, TX, the Strategist, Global Hotel, Lodging & Meetings, you will bring hospitality insight, sourcing expertise, and commercial judgment together to build smarter supplier partnerships, improve traveler and attendee experiences, and deliver measurable value across a global portfolio.

You will partner across Marketing, Sales, Travel, Finance, Legal, Security, HR, and business leadership to create programs that are strategic, scalable, inclusive, and easy to navigate for the people and teams who depend on them.

Lead Strategy with Global Reach

  • You will shape the global strategy for hotel, lodging, meetings, and events, connecting category priorities to business goals and the real experiences of travelers, attendees, and stakeholders.

  • You will build multi-year sourcing roadmaps that support growth, financial performance, workforce needs, and evolving expectations for how people gather and travel.

  • You will advise senior leaders on market shifts, supplier economics, sourcing opportunities, and risk considerations that influence global decisions.

  • You will turn insights into practical, measurable improvements that strengthen program performance and user experience.

Create Better Travel and Meeting Experiences

  • You will design sourcing strategies for transient, group, extended stay, project, destination, and event-related accommodations across a global landscape.

  • You will help make programs clearer, more consistent, and more valuable for travelers, meeting owners, and business partners.

Build Trusted Supplier Partnerships

  • You will partner with stakeholders to implement Strategic Meetings Management practices that are scalable, transparent, and easy to navigate.

  • You will lead sourcing, negotiations, and contracting across hotels, venues, meeting agencies, destination management companies, and event support services.

Use Market Intelligence to Drive Value

  • You will create supplier governance programs that clarify expectations, improve accountability, and unlock shared value.

  • You will use performance metrics, analytics, and market intelligence to guide smarter sourcing decisions and continuous improvement.

  • You will encourage supplier innovation, service improvements, and operational excellence through collaborative partnerships.

  • Experience in commercial lodging programs, event and meetings management for large corporations. The ability to influence and negotiate favorable financial outcomes. Optimize our investment/spend in this area.

Skills That Will Help You Thrive

  • Experience with commercial hotel programs, strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, category management, or meetings and events operations in a complex environment.

  • Confidence building relationships with senior stakeholders, suppliers, and cross-functional partners across regions and priorities.

  • Ability to negotiate complex agreements, manage significant spend, and balance cost, quality, risk, compliance, sustainability, and user experience.

  • Comfort operating in a global, matrixed organization where influence, communication, and partnership are essential.

  • Understanding of hospitality market dynamics, supplier economics, commercial levers, and Strategic Meetings Management practices.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Hospitality Management, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 7 years of experience leading commercial hotel programs, strategic meetings management, sourcing, supplier negotiations in a complex enterprise environment.

  • Strong understanding of hospitality market dynamics, supplier economics, commercial levers, and Strategic Meetings Management (SMM).

  • Experience and a curiosity with AI-enabled sourcing tools, hospitality technology platforms, sustainability programs.

The pay range for this role is $116,150 to $182,400 USD annually with additional

opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United

States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related

knowledge, skills, and experience.
