The team supports a diverse portfolio for GSB (Graphics Solution Business) across AEC (Architecture Engineering and Construction) and PSP (Print Service Provider) platforms.\nThis broad product portfolio provides engineers with opportunities to work across multiple technologies, gain exposure to different market segments, and develop their careers through a variety of technical and leadership experiences.\nNPDI Writing System and System Integration Engineers are responsible for delivering products that meet design requirements in print quality, reliability, and customer experience.\nIn this role, you will:\nPartner with and influence stakeholders at all levels across the business.\nDrive future product requirements by identifying and defining customer needs.\nTranslate complex technical information into clear, actionable insights to enable effective cross-functional discussions.\nMake customer-focused judgments on product quality, reliability, and user experience.\nLead resolution of complex system-level technical issues and drive implementation of robust solutions.\nDocument and transfer specifications, technical justifications, and knowledge to manufacturing partners to ensure product robustness throughout its lifecycle.\nProvide technical guidance and mentoring to develop engineering capabilities within the team.\nDrive process development and continuous improvement initiatives.\nRoles & Responsibilities\nAcumen Template: Collaborate with WW team to align SKU strategy, own NPI SIE Acumen template creation and modification for NPIs etc\nILG or EOSL Test: Develop and validate system-level interactions to ensure new products meet or exceed intended customer experience objectives.\n SMART Testing: Engage with E&A (Engineering and Authentication) and Security team, develop and validate Printhead and Supplies security features integration for NPIs.\nTriage: Own autopsy, triage, and failure tracking activities. This includes collecting failed printheads or supplies, performing initial triage, coordinating failure analysis activities, summarizing findings, reporting results, and driving follow-up actions.\n Writing System Test: Lead printer system testing to demonstrate printhead architecture (PHA) and/or ink baseline performance. Key performance metrics include nozzle health, edge roughness, spray performance, decap, flow rate, color accuracy, and other print quality attributes, while identifying pen, ink, and printer interaction issues.\n Timeless Support: Collaborate with Ink Supplies Development Organization (ISDO) manufacturing teams to support printhead manufacturing qualification, technology transfer, and production readiness.\nJob Requirements:\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Material/Chemical engineering or relevant\nTechnical breath & system approach\nDemonstrated analytical and empirical problem-solving skills\nSystem thinker, looking for connections, and comfortable with things being dynamic or ambiguous\nGrowth mindset, good flexibility and adaptability are key\nFluent in spoken & written English\nAbility to work across multiple time zones / both within and outside one's own work group\nPrior print test experience and knowledge of the pen system issues and failure analysis techniques.\nAvailable for occasional travel (25%)\nDisclaimer:\nThis job description describes the general nature and level of work performed in this role.
