The role provides technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering their professional growth. The role also supports the adoption and implementation of emerging AI technologies, including OpenAI-based solutions, large language models, AI agents, and AI-enabled transformation initiatives.\nResponsibilities\nProvides direct and ongoing leadership for a team of individual contributors that design, deploy, maintain, and monitor machine learning, generative AI, and Edge AI based models, applications, and systems.\nCollaborates with business stakeholders to understand goals and define machine learning and generative AI project requirements.\nOversees end-to-end machine learning and Generative AI solution development, from data collection and preprocessing to development, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.\nDrives the selection and application of appropriate machine learning algorithms, generative AI models, architectures, and techniques.\nGuides the implementation of solutions leveraging large language models, OpenAI and Azure OpenAI technologies, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), AI agents, multimodal AI, and related technologies where applicable.\nSupports the development and deployment of AI capabilities across cloud, hybrid, and edge environments, considering performance, latency, privacy, security, and hardware constraints.\nDrives adoption of appropriate AI/ML engineering practices, including MLOps/LLMOps, model evaluation, monitoring, and lifecycle management.\nManages headcount, deliverables, schedules, and costs for multiple ongoing projects, ensuring that resources are appropriately allocated and that goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets are met in accordance with program and organizational roadmaps.\nCommunicates project status and escalates issues to direct managers, program managers, and internal and external development partners.\nManages relationships with outsourced partners and suppliers, including setting expectations regarding deliverables, product quality, schedules, and costs;
