The role encompasses assessing engineering deliverables, ensuring alignment with guidelines and standards, and enhancing product quality. The role collaborates with customer engineering management to comprehend and document client priorities and requirements, while also driving innovation and technology integration. Responsibilities\nLeads multiple project teams of other engineers and internal and outsourced development partners responsible for all stages of development across multiple engineering disciplines for complex products, platforms, systems, software, and technology solutions.\nReviews and governs the technical quality of engineering deliverables from the project teams.\nEvaluates designs and project activities for compliance with technology and development guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality.\nExpands relationships with internal and outsourced development partners on engineering design and development.\nWorks closely with customer engineering section management to interpret and document client priorities, scope and requirements.\nDevelops cost estimates, business cases, appropriation requests and plans for engineering projects.\nProvides domain-specific expertise and overall engineering leadership and perspective to cross- organization projects, programs, ad activities.\nDrives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the engineering design organization. \nExercises independent judgment in resolving business issues and establishing policies.\nProvides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members to set an example of engineering design innovation and excellence.
