We serve as the vital link between external partner innovation roadmaps and HP’s internal engineering execution, ensuring that every innovation we pursue delivers maximum value to our customers.\nThe Role\nWe are seeking a high-performing, experienced, and energetic Technical Program Manager to lead Microsoft strategic partnership across HP Business Units and Vertical Solutions. In this role, you will be the primary driver for coordinating and managing cross-functional teams to deliver exclusive programs and cutting-edge features into markets and customers. You will operate within complex technical disciplines, navigate ambiguous landscapes, and exercise independent judgment to develop project goals that align with HP’s long-term vision. This is a high-visibility role requiring frequent interaction with senior management from our key partners and executive leadership within HP’s Personal Systems: Engineering and Business Units, and Pan-HP teams.\nResponsibilities:\nManage and lead a program involving multiple functions and project teams to drive the program, from ideation if yet to be defined, to implementation of a solution with defined timelines and resources.\nAct as the central point of contact from Microsoft to HP Business units and IHV partners, aligning technical roadmaps with our engineering teams across disciplines.\nManages the implementation of Proof of Concepts by guiding engineering, interfacing with multiple parties, ensuring learning is captured and shared. \nDrives innovation and integration of new technologies and quality initiatives into projects to deliver innovative solutions into market.\nDevelop and direct the creation of key milestones, critical deliverables, and other program support requirements to ensure successful outcome\nLead and influence efforts across Pan-HP business units to ensure all areas are represented and solutions are implemented using HP way\nCommunicate program progress, escalations, and issue analysis to key stakeholders and executives\nSynthesize complex program data into clear progress reports, risk analyses, and escalation paths for HP executives and partner stakeholders.\nReview and evaluate program plans, providing tangible feedback to improve the overall quality and efficiency of the organization’s program management framework.\nEducation and Experience Required:\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Sciences, or equivalent technical degrees.\nTypically 6-10 years experience.\nKnowledge and Skills:\nExperience designing and developing project and program planning tools to create, manage, and track project results\nSelf-starter, able to lead and influence a diverse team and can work effectively across cultural and time zone boundaries\nStrong organizational skills, communication skills, capable of bridging highly technical teams with management and support teams. Should have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills\nAbility to effectively communicate program and technical plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at senior management levels; Ability to bridge the gap between highly technical engineering teams and non-technical business/executive leadership.\nHistory of innovation with examples of developing new business, technical, engineering and/or manufacturing processes.\nDemonstrated business acumen and successful experience managing all aspects of programs, including briefing of executive management, leading and or working with scrum teams, negotiating with business groups, communicating with stakeholders, and directing matrix teams and resources\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to effectively communicate program plans, proposals, and results and negotiate options at senior management levels\nOperating System & Platform Architecture: Strong working knowledge of modern operating-system architecture and the interaction between OS, firmware, drivers, silicon, security, power, memory, connectivity, and application/runtime layers. Ability to investigate new OS capabilities and translate them into platform requirements and product opportunities.\nTechnology Curiosity & Continuous Learning: Demonstrates strong curiosity about emerging technology trends, proactively develops knowledge through self-directed learning and experimentation, and forms well-reasoned perspectives on technology opportunities, trade-offs, and potential impact.\nPreferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications\nAI Systems Architecture: Working knowledge of local and hybrid AI architectures, including AI models, inference runtimes, CPU/GPU/NPU acceleration, memory requirements, model lifecycle management, security, power/performance trade-offs, and cloud/local execution.\nAgentic AI Platforms: Familiarity with emerging agentic AI architectures, including orchestration, tool invocation, agent identity, isolation, permissions, context management, local/cloud execution, and OS integration.\nSystem Workload Characterization: Experience defining representative workloads and analyzing system performance, responsiveness, memory, storage, power, thermal, and compute behavior across CPU, GPU, and NPU architectures.\n Proof of Concept Development: Experience guiding engineering teams in the implementation and evaluation of Proofs of Concept (POCs) to validate new technologies, architectures, and user scenarios.\nCore Competencies\nEffective Communication: Clear, concise, and persuasive verbal and written skills.\nResults Orientation: A relentless focus on delivery and market impact.\nLearning Agility: Ability to rapidly grasp new technologies and adapt to shifting market dynamics.\nTechnical Depth: Sufficient technical knowledge to influence engineering decisions and challenge assumptions.\nStakeholder Management: Mastery of \"influence without authority\" to drive results across organizational boundaries.\nThe pay range for this role is $116,150 to $182,400 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only).
